About this deal

One of my favourite parts of Christmas decorations is all the lights! They make the home seem warm and cosy on those dark, cold winter nights. I’d lost all my little icing nozzles — in the abyss that is our kitchen — so I had to make do with a freezer bag with a tiny hole in one corner. I covered some of the biscuits with sprinkles, some with gold chocolate balls or edible glitter, and plain iced the others. Assembling the Gingerbread Garland Decorate the Houses: Use hot glue embellishments, plastic peppermints, candy canes, and ribbons to adorn the houses. Insert them into floral foam in the planter. Take the flat items (whether it be trees, snowflakes, etc.) and either make a long chain to attach them to, or use something like ribbon or burlap.

Add Frosting: Use acrylic paint to create the look of frosting on the gingerbread. Add details with dots, lines, and caulk for a three-dimensional effect. Grab your hot glue gun and start gluing the pieces, buttons and pom poms on your cute little gingerbread boy and girl. Also, assemble the peppermints in the similar fashion of my Oversized Peppermints.Grab your hole punch and punch holes in the arms of your gingerbread boy and girls and also your peppermints! Bring the sweet charm of gingerbread to your holiday decor with these simple DIY gingerbread decorations by Meredith - Arts & Classy: a garland, a jar display, and a gingerbread box. To be honest, although they’re probably a little less refined than the skull biscuits I made, I thought it didn’t make too bad a job. It was certainly easier to clean up at the end of the day, as it just went in the bin after I’d finished. Photo Credit: The Listed Home. Photo Credit: The Listed Home. Craft Ribbon Bows: Cut 3 pieces of each ribbon at 9", dovetail them, and create a crisscross pattern without repeating ribbon styles.

I use tiny little pegs to attach them to another length of string, then hang it across the fireplace. If you’re looking for something a little more unconventional, I think you’re going to love this next one! Meet the Crochet Gingerbread Garland. Aren’t these so cute? I love the elegant-feel of this pattern. These hearts are surprisingly simple to make and each feature a slightly different design to add some extra interest! These would look beautiful just about wherever you put them.

It has crossed my mind that when the log burner is lit, the biscuits could soften a little with the heat but, to be honest, they never last that long! Are you looking for something a little more unique? This Christmas Gnome Garland is just the perfect thing! I just love gnomes. They’re super cute and easy to customize for any season. This gnome garland is no exception! You can make these in lots of different Christmas-y colors and give them out as gifts, string them up around the house, etc.! Add the butter and — using just the tips of your fingers — rub the ingredients together until they resemble breadcrumbs. Once the toppings have dried, thread bakers twine through the holes to form little loops. Photo Credit: The Listed Home. Photo Credit: The Listed Home.
