About this deal

Gold/Silver Pokémon GS Edition - A variant of the Pikachu and Pichu edition GBC. It appears gold or silver depending on the angle and lighting.

A Pokémon may be available (in this case, Bulbasaur) depending on the friendship value of a Pokémon owned by the player. This special Pokémon DS Lite was released via a special promotion in the Pokémon Daisuki Club. In it, people could apply to win the console which features a special Piplup print on the case. Winners of this DS Lite were very few, with only 40 of the consoles being given. 25 through the Sugoroku Pokémon Battle tournament, and 15 through the Pokémon Type de Battle When playing an original Game Boy game on a Game Boy Color or Game Boy Advance (including the Game Boy Advance SP and the Game Boy Player), the user can choose which Game Boy Color color palette is used. This is achieved by pressing certain button combinations, namely either A or B (or neither) and a direction key while the Game Boy logo is displayed on the screen. Poké Cup (for Pokémon between levels 50 to 55 only, and the sum of all entered Pokémon's Levels cannot exceed 155; Mew is not allowed). Groudon Edition - A red GBA SP released in the Pokémon Center in New York to tie in with the release of Ruby Version. It depicts Groudon's face on the outside and a silhouette of Groudon on the inside.

The Game Boy Color was a new iteration of the Nintendo Game Boy. Although similar in form factor and design to the original Game Boy, this model allowed for games to be released with 8-bit colour, as opposed to the monochromatic style of its predecessor. All previous Game Boy games were playable on it and many Game Boy Color games were playable on the original device, but some started being exclusive. Its first introduction to Pokémon was with Pokémon Gold & Silver, although the international releases of Pokémon Yellow adapted the Super Game Boy palette to act as a Game Boy Color title. Celebi Edition - A green GBA released only in Japanese Pokémon Centers to tie in with the release of Celebi: The Voice of the Forest. It depicts two silhouettes of Celebi next to the GBA logo. The starter Pokémon for the player and the rival have no type advantage against each other before evolving (although this changes if the rival's starter evolves into Vaporeon). An entire trio of starter Pokémon is obtainable in a single saved game with no trades, transfers, or events.

This special GameBoy Light was released in Japan to tie in with the release of the first Pokémon movie. It was released within the Pokémon Center in Tokyo and features a yellow colour with a Pikachu to the side of the screen. The consoles on-light matches its location with Pikachu's cheek and it came with a special carry bag The Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console release uses 3DS wireless communication as a substitute for the Game Link Cable. The Virtual Console release disables Game Boy Printer compatibility. Japanese and non-Japanese Generation I core series games do not recognize each other when attempting to link them via 3DS wireless communication. Diamond-Encrusted Game Boy Advance - The winners of the Pokémon 10th Anniversary Journey Across America, Minh Le and Samin Syed, each won a one-of-a-kind diamond-encrusted Game Boy Advance. The two available starter Pokémon of this game, Pikachu ( player) and Eevee ( rival), are the only Pokémon introduced prior to Generation V to evolve with a Thunder Stone. Pokémon Yellow Version Edition - A yellow GBC released in a bundle with Yellow Version. It features Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and a Togepi. A Poké Ball serves as the power indicator. In Australia, this edition was released on its own as the Pokémon Special Limited Edition.
