What makes a speaker’s story compelling? For starters, it’s their story. Not a story gleaned from an article or book you read or lifted from another speaker’s repertoire. Audiences can sense when a story is fictitious or appropriated from other sources. Authenticity reigns. And thus, despite having thought of giving it 1.5 stars out of 5 initially, I am going with 2.5 instead.

Tommy Spaulding tells the story of a leadership workshop he led, where one of the attendees told her story for the first time. Savi Sharma is an Indian novelist and a celebrated author. She has risen to fame not just in India, but throughout the world as India’s best selling female author. This is a cliché for a reason. Even when writing fiction, creating imaginary characters and invented landscapes, always embroider the truth, write from the heart, using your own experience – this will make the work more impactful, relatable and empathetic, and it will enhance the experience for you too!I don't want to get into the details of the story and it's characters. It's a book I personally won't recommend to anyone. As you reach near the end of the book, story is very predictable and you just want to skip part of the paragraphs and read only the dialogues or highlights. That is actually enough to understand the story and even if you do it from start, you will understand the story. Your use of story can be educational, entertaining, inspirational, motivational, or some combination thereof. Update : Nearly a month has passed and It still is bugging me that where are Meera's parents when she was lying between death and life. Savi should answer it. Writing isn't a necessity for everybody. We don't all feel like we're going to explode if we don't do it, but we will feel better for writing, and earn a sense of pride and reward. Well, ever since Savi Sharma published her first book Everyone Has a Story, it has sold over 200,000 copies, making her the first female author in India to achieve this kind of success. Such was the curiosity about this sudden rise of a young author, that her achievement was scrutinized, and much credit was given to Ashish Bagrecha, her marketing expert for the phenomenal sales figures. As for Savi’s literally skills, for most part, the verdict has been negative. In light of all this, I had my initial apprehension about reading Everyone Has A Story . That was until one day, when I had a change of heart.The use of language is good. I liked some sentences and the meaning they conveyed. But those too were a bit overdone and ended up giving the book, a dull and monotonous tone. Hahahahahahah... Nice whatsapp status. Also Vivaan give 20 lacs to Kabir so he can open his Cafe.
