About this deal

Elizabeth Allen is a spoiled girl who is an only child. She becomes very upset and outraged when she learns that she is being sent to a boarding school. The Very Fat Conker" in Storytime Book (Dean and Son): The children have conker fights with chestnuts. When a boy finds a huge chestnut he beats the boy who has had the best conker in the past. In temper the loser hurls the conker into the school garden where it's lost. Two years later the children find it's grown into a chestnut tree. The whole book is extremely feeling-based. The most important thing is to pass the judgement and gain the appraisal of others. Sadly, the errors in the article seem to be what has attracted the the most attention, and not the main point of the comparison...Just how similar as writers are Agatha Christie & Enid Blyton??? The Naughtiest Girl Again is the second novel in The Naughtiest Girl series of novels by Enid Blyton. It is about older and not-so-spoiled Elizabeth Allen is in her second term at Whyteleafe School.

Regarding the "Christie Mystery" It would be interesting to see if someone could produce the examples I requested from one of her novels or even from a Blyton story but I suppose it doesn't really matter because, according to the latest decoding of the Mayan Calendar, we'll all be dead tomorrow and I just wish I'd written a book about it. It was Hanly who begged Enid repeatedly to visit their mother Theresa before her death in 1950, but Enid had long been estranged from her and she refused. Gillian and Imogen knew nothing of their grandmother until after her death.

I thought the main character, Elizabeth, was hilarious and engaging. She is talented and strong-willed, and her teachers and classmates love that about her. But she can't control her wild impulses, and they gently teach her to manage those wayward emotions. I loved her character development! An adorable book about a spoiled little girl, Elizabeth, who is sent to boarding school, and learns self-control. She makes friends, learns that giving is better than receiving, and discovers that she is much happier when she controls her temper and is compassionate toward others.

While reading the first chapter, all I could think was "Nobody talks like that, not even in 1940". It sounded like dialogue from a particularly bad 40s B movie. Elizabeth's parents allowed her to get out of control and torture her governesses for ten years but suddenly decide enough is enough and instead of dealing with their child's misbehavior, she needs to be send off to boarding school. Yes, boarding school will cure her. I am considering producing a Famous Five Feast for the family (I might attempt to get half the foods in the list- all of them would take me until Christmas to eat ) Yes, there are traits that Elizabeth shares with characters from Malory Towers and St. Clare’s. Her manner of playing practical jokes is reminiscent of the ones played by Janet (from St. Clare’s) and Alicia (from Malory Towers), her hot-headed nature reminds me of Darrell, and her obstinacy is on the same level as the O’Sullivan twins. And yet, Elizabeth stands out as a more vibrant character for me. Her hot-headed and kind-hearted nature is balanced by a clever mind, which I find more interesting than any of the other characters created by Blyton. I bought a couple of Blyton’s books a couple of years ago because I thought that I might have missed out not having had the chance to read them when I was a child. I never got around to reading them until one Friday afternoon a couple of weeks ago.Does this sound like a child who has no friends at school, HATES her school (which she claims she does) and just wants to go home? Looking at the way people treat her and the fact that she has never been away from home, Elizabeth should be miserable. A miserable child doesn't think "No wonder all the other children here are so happy". She doesn't even seem to miss home, her parents, or her pets

Kerry Dane - A famous actress who came to Whyteleafe and was cured of her bad ways when she left to continue her acting career after her birthday Are they just both simply world famous female authors of fiction who lived around the same time,or do they have lots more in common with each other???? Several characters' names are among my favourite names but they actually weren't inspired by Enid Blyton herself. To name some: The Naughtiest Girl in the School comes to an end — in story only of course, but there are follow-ups which will undoubtedly be welcomed by the many fans of Blyton stories that deal with life at Whyteleafe School far away in the heart of England. Enid Blyton believed that economy of wording was particularly important in her children's stories; that the reader did not want to hear the same thing repeated three or four times.Like Richard, John Terry is also a one sided boy, devoted to gardening and little else. Elizabeth and John have a very good relationship early in the book. John is fond of gardening, due to his and Elizabeth′s common interest in gardening, they become good friends, Elizabeth helping John with his gardening.

Most of the stories I liked were those which showed naughty children being punished. I didnt for one moment suspect that Enid might have been 'preaching' in any way. To me, all of the children got what they deserved! I also liked 'The Little Singing Kettle' in the same book. as a child one of my favourites was 'The King of the Castle' in 'Tales after Tea'. There was something very satisfying about that boastful boy being stranded on top of his castle. Interestingly, a very similar thing happens to Amelia Jane when the toys all get taken to the seaside.

No wonder the children were happy at Whyteleafe! There seemed always something lovely to look forward to, something exciting to do. "
