About this deal

You can read more about our commitment to providing honest recommendations through extensive testing in our Hardware Policy, and we're also showing you exactly how we test gaming mice in more detail as well.

In play, the DeathAdder V3 Pro is a killer, in both wireless and wireless modes. It's highly responsive and comfortable to use. Whether I was delving into Left 4 Dead 2, Postal: Brain Damage, Hypercharge: Unboxed, or Overwatch, I enjoyed swift, seamless gameplay with no negative issues. We've corrected a typo in the Cable section of this review. Previously one of the links in this section identified a video of the 'Razer Viper V3 Pro' but this has now been corrected to read 'Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro'. The money is put to good use though. The technology cuts the polling interval to just 0.25 millisecond, and when combined with Razer's HyperSpeed wireless connection aims to cut latency or response lag—a universal issue that affects gamers at all levels, even casual players. You'll find both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth connectivity under the hood, with eight programmable buttons and a second layer of Razer Hypershift functionality as well. That's plenty of customization options, all waiting to be saved to one of five onboard profiles.

Connectivity and Response: Glass Ceilings

The mouse disassembles into an exploded view, revealing its internals to highlight the cutting-edge sensor. The feature list of the Razer DeathAdder V3 is more focused on speed than extra quality-of-life enhancements. There are some serious upgrades over the previous generation here, all making for a much faster, much snappier experience. We called the Razer DeathAdder V3 an 'FPS mouse for those who hate FPS mice'. That's because it's a surprisingly lightweight pointer that doesn't achieve such a low weight simply by restricting things down to a skinny form factor. Super light FPS mice like the Razer Viper V2 Pro above and the MSI Clutch GM31 are often particularly small, making for an uncomfortable experience for anyone with larger hands. My only minor issue with the V3 Pro is that it only has five programmable buttons. I occasionally get very lazy and don’t want to move my arm from my mouse to my keyboard, so I like my mice to have buttons in the double digits. But even with such a paltry number of buttons, I couldn’t stop my hand from wanting to use this mouse. I would have also liked to see a storage spot for the mouse’s 2.4GHz wireless dongle — especially since there’s no Bluetooth, so any traveling with this mouse will require this dongle for a wireless connection.

This is one of the very latest Razer mice to hit the market, so it's sporting all the latest tech. The Focus Pro 30K sensor is a blinder in here, with Gen 3 Optical switches offering up an incredibly satisfying clunk with every shot. Everything works together to create a seamless experience no matter the game. We tested across everything from Halo Infinite to Planet Coaster and the Cobra Pro felt great every time.Effectively double your inputs at the touch of a button, as you activate an additional set of custom keybinds and DPI stage on the mouse. The latest Razer gaming mouse is the Cobra Pro, however you'll find recent release history just below. The mouse stores up to 5 profiles as well as the last used Razer Synapse profile, including all calibrated settings such as:

The process for hunting down the best Razer mouse is the same as it is for any brand. These pointers are brought into our daily work and play schedules, and lived with far beyond our initial testing sessions. That means we can see exactly how each device holds up in an everyday use scenario while also keeping tabs on the longevity of those features. A closeup top-down of the weighing scale’s display shows the weight of the mouse rapidly dropping from 78g to 64g. Using the DeathAdder V3 Pro with Razer’s HyperPolling Wireless Dongle drops the mouse’s battery life to about 24 hours, which is understandable. Bottom Line The camera cuts to a closeup of the mouse, as we see strings of white pixels burst out from its base and off the weighing scale. The screen glitches as the mouse now rests atop a high-tech weighing scale in a white futuristic lab.The mouse’s sensor is designed to work on a variety of surfaces, including glass. I tested the mouse on everything from mousepads to mirrors to the side of my French Bulldog, and it worked on everything (including transparent glass and plastic), except the mirrors. We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.5. This update adds a new Main Button test group, which provides button actuation data and switch information. We've also made minor changes to how we calculate the Office usage score. For more details, you can see our full changelog here. A grid of red lasers fan across the camera, as the mouse is transported from the lab to a futuristic esports arena.

The DeathAdder V3 Pro is a fantastic gaming mouse. Not only is it practically perfect in its physical design, it’s also highly customizable, versatile, and works very well out of the box. It doesn’t have RGB lighting, but I’m honestly happy to not have to deal with the Chroma side of Razer’s Synapse software for once. The best Razer sensor is the Focus+ Optical sensor, featured on the Razer Basilisk V3, Razer Viper 8KHz, Razer Viper Ultimate, Razer Basilisk Ultimate, Razer DeathAdder V2, Razer Basilisk V2, Razer Naga Pro, Razer Naga Left-Handed, and Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro. Which Razer gaming mice are available?

Razer’s “next-generation ergonomics” are some kind of wizardry.

A greenish-blue light turns on as all the prototypes become holographic, save for one in the center. Elsewhere, you're getting Razer's latest generation sensor and switches under the hood as well as the lightning fast performance one can expect from such components. The lower price does mean you're losing out on RGB support, and there are fewer programmable buttons here when compared to the similarly priced Razer Basilisk V3 model, but there's still plenty to love.
