About this deal

Cyberpope from Richmond, CanadaI thought it was "break ope' like a douche. . ." & just imagined it was referring to a horrible, horrible grossness, but I've since learned it's "Revved up like a Deuce; another runner in the night" referring to a particular street rod & night-time street racing. . . Having a whole chocolate bar to myself when I was younger was always an enjoyable indulgence but if you got the chance to have a Curly Wurly then it felt like that much more of a treat; to a child they were HUGE! In fact the makers, Cadbury’s, refer to their bar as a ‘chewy caramel ladder, draped in delicious milk chocolate.’ Springsteen is still a superstar. Mann is ... where? Springsteen is too good a guy to laugh about that, but what makes you say the laugh's on him? If you’re watching, keep clear of participants on the course, and look after any children and dogs you may have with you. A café and toilets are available in the Somerdale Pavilion, toilets are accessible from 8:30am on a Saturday.

Tj from Woodbridge, Vai agree. i think its "revved up deuce into the runner in the night" or however it goes. cuz a car revves up. but its an awsome song anyway. manfred mann's version is better i think. GREAT SONG!

Is it true that Klondike bars have shrunk in size?

Barry from New York, NcI think the original Springsteen verion is more exiciting and contains a catchier melody than Manfred's version (sorry MM fans!)

Beef-based gelatin is made by boiling and processing animal skin and ligaments, and is often used in confectionary. Cadbury UK? utilized beef gelatin in goods such Curly Wurly, Strollers, and Mini-Eggs, according to a spokeswoman. Curly Wurly is a vegetarian. According to the trade publication The Grocer, the chocolate giant’s Crunchie and big Creme eggs will both be reduced from 278g to 258g, a seven percent drop. Is it true that Mars bars are growing smaller? I have to say I don’t remember the 1997 ‘Cool Orange’ version of the sweet – the caramel inside was laced with the citrusy taste and I’m actually quite glad that I never got the chance to sample the fleeting banana flavoured atrocity that Australia dallied with in the late 1990s.Jeff from Hesperia, Ca"Revved up like a deuce," as in a "little deuce coupe," "Another runner in the night..." The brand Curly Wurly is owned by Cadbury UK. You probably recognize Cadbury for things like the Cadbury eggs that are popular at Easter time. The UK Cadbury store does have different chocolates and treats than what you might be used to in some areas but you may recognize some of the names.

A 1973 wrapper promised a ‘Creepywurly Ghost mobile’ if you sent off six Curlywurly wrappers; another had a ‘pre-historic monster’ card offer attached. In 1975 Cadbury’s were obviously looking to reel in the screaming teenage girl market by enticing them with 6 free ‘exclusively autographed’ Bay City Roller cards ‘plus rosette and scarf offer.’ Margaret from Chicago, IlI don't know how you can call the Manfred Mann version canon, really, when the song was written by Springsteen. The line "In the dumps with the mumps as the adolescent pumps his way into is hat." pretty strongly hints at masturbation. I wouldn't say the song is (just) about that, though. It's about a lot of things! Bruce talks about it a bit in his Storytellers performance, but I can't seem to find any quotes about it right now...

Cadbury Dairy Milk & OREO Train Kit

Andrew from Apex, NcThis song is about Paul's conversion, as told in the Acts of the Apostles. The verses retell the story as a present-day singer trying to get a gig. It uses several metaphores in a stream-of-conscienceness style.

The Curly Wurly is a caramel product made by Cadbury. It's a chocolate bar, but it's not just any old chocolate bar—it's British! Lem from Covington, GaWho is this guy Springsteen, He should keep racing Harley's and let the EarthBand do all the singing According to records, the regular Mars bar weighed 49 grams in the 1980s, 65 grams in the 1990s, and 50 grams in 2009. Is it true that Klondike bars have shrunk in size?

I did hear the Manfred Mann version first and typically the first version of a song I hear is the version I like the best. I do agree with another poster that said regardless of what the PRINTED lyrics state, I still, to this day 30 years after first hearing this song, believe that they actually SANG ?wrapped up like a douche!? LOL Anyone who finds ?meanings? in these lyrics is (A) REALLY stretching to make sense of the nonsensical (B) on some SERIOUS drugs and/or (C) schizophrenic. We kindly ask that participants do not park on the Somerdale Estate as it will lead to complaints from local residents. Post Run Coffee Please arrive by foot, by pedal-power or by public transport if you can - your efforts help to reduce our impact on the park and the planet.
