About this deal

Strangely (of all places) Porthcurno was once at the beating heart of the telecoms world. Buried under the sand were giant cables linking Britain with America. Breathtaking but challenging to reach would be the way we’d describe this idyllic cove. The high cliffs provide plenty of cover from the wind but hiking down the granite steps, past the waterfall will test your thigh muscles.

This wall took two years to build being delayed by the great blizzard of March 1891. The harbour was completed in 1897 when the second pier leading out towards the end of the first wall was built. Trevaunance Cove: The main beach for St Agnes with the remains of the old harbour to explore at low tide, a link to the fact that this area was part of Cornwall's industrial heritage and central to the original Poldark novels. Nowadays it's a family favourite with plenty to keep the kids amused, and nearby cafes and the Driftwood Spars pub just up the road. With the right sea conditions, the beach is popular with surfers, but it can also be dangerous and lifeguards are on duty during the main summer months. Parking is availiable nearby. Dogs are allowed on the beach but must be kept on leads. More Here. Accessibility: Bosahan’s sandy beach is best discovered by water. We suggest hiring kayaks and paddling along the Helford River to reach it. Alternatively, walk the coastal path for at least a mile or explore Bosahan Estate and access through the tropical gardens. Parking:The National Trust car park is a quarter-of-a-mile up a steep lane, but only has space for five cars

But did you know there are more than 400 beaches to be found along the unique and magical coastline that hugs the South West corner of the British Isles? We've heard all about the fishing harbours, the stunning stretches of sand and the surfing spots… but what are they keeping from us?This little stretch of sand is completely secluded, and can be found beneath the grassy, granite cliffs The linear walk from Chapel Porth around the coast to the village of St Agnes gives stunning ocean views. eighteenth century. Now it’s a quiet, hidden cove in Cornwall. There is a car park here, but you can Access to this little cove is challenging. The path is steep & winding and requires some scrambling to get down there. It is definitely not pushchair friendly. This gem of a cove is overlooked on one side by the medieval part of Fowey, and the other by the stone remnants of St Catherine’s Castle.

Although it's about an hour's walk (3.5km) to Nanjizal, it's well worth it. The beach is a picturesque boulder-strewn cove with crystal clear water and is also home to the Song of the Sea – a tall, narrow natural arch. Haryln Bay - "A vast flatness of wet sand reflecting the sky. Memories of seine net fishing for bass off the beach with my Dad and the locals."Sheltered by the cliffs close to the mouth of the Fowey Estuary, Readymoney Cove is a beautifully quiet small beach overlooking Polruan in South Cornwall. 4. Trevaunance Cove

Penberth Cove is near the end of the South West Peninsula (just) on the South Cornwall coast, and is an ideal starting point for South West Coast walks in either direction. 10.Kynance Cove Behind a pretty sandy beach is an old coach house – once home to none other than author Daphne du Maurier (‘Rebecca’ and ‘Jamaica Inn’).
