About this deal

The PRO 94M cassette is marketed by Braun as being better with longer hair but to me, all of them seem just as good. It basically selects between a short, normal, and intensive cleaning mode (indicated by one, two, or three droplet symbols on the station).

Regarding which generation Series 9 should you buy, it’s really up to you and there’s no right or wrong approach to this. The updated Series 9 shavers (first introduced in 2016) use the 92xx template for the model names: 9290cc, 9291cc, 9297cc, 9293s, 9260s, etc. I never use the station after every shave though; I usually do 3 manual cleanings before putting the razor through an automatic cleaning cycle. But I really appreciate having it so I can have the razor properly sanitized. In conclusion, if you have a Solo 93xxs, 94xxs or 95xxs Series 9, you can get a compatible S9-3 or S9-4 type 5430 station. For this reason, along with the potential problems of the original shaving heads (we’ll get into that as well), the original Series 9 models don’t really represent a viable option in 2023 anymore. 2. The 2016 Series 9 (92xx) A pre-shave lotion can be viable alternative to shaving cream and can improve your dry shave results. I actually wrote an article on this topic, you can access it here.

Things are a bit different in the case of the latest 94M cassette found on the 2021 Series 9 PRO and 2023 Series 9 PRO+. The dry-only models could be used both corded and cordless, while the wet & dry models will only work cordless. As for the elusive 93xx update, it seems more like a mid-life facelift of the Series 9 that doesn’t bring any significant improvements over the existing 92xx shavers (except for the larger battery), but it will likely boost the sales. It’s difficult to say how will hard water impact the wear on the blades. However, the best you can do is to thoroughly clean and lubricate your shaver, be it manually or using the cleaning station. Last year I bought one series 9 as 9299… At the beginning it was wonderful and satisfy me as well for shaving and also noise that is very important for any person…. As I used it many time its noise not disturb me but:

I’m not suggesting the Braun isn’t a good shaver … it undoubtedly is. It’s a newer model than the LV-67. But why is that a justification for it being so much more expensive than a shaver which does the job equally as well ? Reply Another point to note is the durability of your battery. I put it to load at the moment of its reception and nineteen days later it continues perfectly loaded, with practically daily shaves. This provides a tremendous autonomy and, despite the fact that the charger – with a nice design also in the product line – is of small size with this duration of the load it is perfectly avoidable to take it for punctual departures or even for a fortnight of vacations. So I wouldn’t dismiss the models that come with the non-Pro station like the 9370cc or 9310cc, especially if you can get them for a better price. I think users who shave once or twice a week or have really coarse hair could see an improvement, but other than that, things will be pretty much the same. Tempering and hardening is possible due to added carbon, making this family a leading choice for knives, scissors, razors and medical tools. My guess is that depending on your facial hair’s particularities and technique, you may see a small benefit from leading with the HyperLift & Cut trimmer vs the SkinGuard and the Direct & Cut element. If you notice any improvements in either of the cases, just continue using it that way. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry too much about this issue. Braun even says that it doesn’t make any difference at all. Popular in indoor applications, such as kitchenware, or out-of-sight applications, such as exhaust, these alloys are well suited for situation where visual appeal isn’t as important as cost and performance.

Anyway that’s just my preference with regards to the Series 9, I think the station is worth the extra money. With Panasonic for example I never buy the one that come with a station, it’s simply not needed. If you can find the original Series 9 at a bargain price I think you can go for it, even if that implies the risk of the older, possibly faulty, shaving heads. This is more like an internal naming convention (separate from the actual model names) that groups all Series 9 models into two categories: wet & dry and dry only.

However, they offer excellent corrosion resistance and creep resistance while remaining great for welding.
