About this deal

Cora on the other hand lives hand to mouth in a flat with her friend Nav, finally earning the part dancing on the play Mirror, Mirror; a role made for her. The Twins finally got chance to kill some Nazis after spotting Gestapo officers driving along a rural road. When the car stopped and was left briefly unattended, the Twins planted a flask loaded with explosives. Their world changed,” says historian Peter Jacobs about the brothers. “We cannot overemphasise the importance of that moment. That’s what drove them to what they did.” No Two Alike byKeith Baker: Celebrate the uniqueness of each snowflake in Keith Baker's delightful book. Through stunning illustrations and simple text, young readers will discover the beauty of winter and the wonder of nature's creations. These were small-scale acts designed to disrupt the war effort,” says Jacobs, “They would never be able to do anything large scale. The biggest problem was even though they'd formed this network of 200 people, they never received the support they needed. They need a wireless operator so they could communicate airdrops with London and they needed money.”

Introduce preschoolers to the wonderful world of twins with these engaging early reader books. From stories that celebrate the unique bond between twins to tales of new siblings and exciting adventures, these books are perfect for young readers exploring the concept of twins. Twins at St Clare's byEnid Blyton: Join Pat and Isabel O'Sullivan as they start their new life at St. Clare's boarding school, encountering adventures, friendship, and plenty of mischief along the way.I had a lot of expectations from this book, having LOVED the Artemis Fowl series. But while the story is amusing, it has none of the finesse and tightness of plot that the original series possessed. Too many things ‘just happen’ because of magic or superior fairy technology or timing or coincidence. In the AF books, too, there was magic and technology, but it had it’s own laws and rules which made it believable. The best fantasy and world building is one where there are convincing explanations for places and things and actions and powers- there is no randomness. There is an inherent sense tying the fantasy together. The Fowl Twins does not have this discipline and logic - there is disarray and chaos. It’s sloppy writing, which is a shame.

I loved every minute of this book and would highly recommend this one to fans of a twisty, unpredictable psychological thriller. Go ahead, add this one to your TBR, you will love this gripping, original tale! We are introduced to Cora and Margo, identical twins who couldn’t be any different. Margo is a live in nanny who is devoted to looking after the children in her care. She takes her job seriously and clearly has a lot of love and affection to give. Cora on the other hand is narcissistic, she would do anything to achieve her dancing dreams and no one is going to stop her. My Twin Brother and Me byEmme Cross: Join a pair of twins on their daily adventures, exploring the unique bond between siblings and the joys of being twins.Life inside Buchenwald was horrendous,” says Jacobs. “The camps were overcrowded and were pretty much left to be run by prisoners. The SS patrolled and made sure no one escaped but the actual rules of the camp – who got what jobs, who got fed and who didn’t – were all left down to the hierarchy within the camp itself. You had to influence people and get the right jobs to survive.”

They could never fully avenge their family,” writes Jacobs in his retelling of the incident. “But at least this went some way towards it. At last, they had got some revenge. And it felt sweet.” I liked that it continued on with some of the subtle good messages and morals, such as being environmentally friendly. Always good for children reading. I do apologize for my brother's egregious mangling of the language, but he is, in essence, correct. I think , and he does."Robert Frank las das Hörbuch ein und machte dabei einen soliden Job. Schließlich muss er mit seiner Stimme 11-Jährige darstellen, aber auch Feen, eine Nonne, die ihren Job verfehlte und einen alterslosen Bösewicht. Dieser klang stellenweise sehr nach Udo Lindenberg, was ich ein wenig irritierend fand.

A reimagining of Sophocles’ Antigone, this moving, elegant novel follows twins Aneeka and Parvaiz and their older sister Isma as they grapple in strikingly different ways with the tension between family loyalty and the laws of society. After Parvaiz joins Isis and is killed, Aneeka mounts a vigil in protest against the UK’s refusal to repatriate his body. In exploring complex questions of duty and identity, Shamsie delivers a novel that feels both timeless, and distinctly of its time.Identical twins Margo and Cora live in London. Although they look so similar that sometimes even those closest to them mistake one for the other, they couldn’t be more different. In typical Eoin Colfer style we have some baddies with hilarious names that are out to get magic, money, both and even more. So of course we have a new fairy character coming to the twins rescue. This new character is called Lazuli Heitz and she is an elf and pixie hybrid called a pixel. I really missed Holly Short (even though I shouldn't have fretted so much about her absense...), did really love Lazuli. She was the perfect addition to the twins and the three of them made a pretty good team. This is a spin off of the popular Artemis Fowl series, featuring the younger twin brother’s of my childhood favourite morally grey mastermind. However, don’t let the idea that this is a ‘spin off’ put you off if you’ve never read any of the Artemis Fowl books. This is completely enjoyable without having read anything before it (although you’ll miss out on squealing at a few cameos). On April 11, 1945, American forces liberated Buchenwald. The Twins had survived there for more than a year.
