About this deal

While they don't last as long continuously as the Logitech G PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless, their roughly 30-hour battery life will still get you through long dungeon crawls. You can also use them wired in a pinch. They have a high noise floor while monitoring your voice, and while that's a downside if you play a lot of multiplayer games, the mic still makes your voice sound clear and natural. Users, especially those lazy about setting up anti-echo pads, should be at ease since these headphones work significantly better than the competition in busy environments. Their microphone is practically made to serve as a mini condenser mic. You can freely record your next podcast on a restaurant patio or park without having to sacrifice the crispness of voice. Forget your typical bloated gamer bass. The DT 900 Pro X is almost surgical in precision, allowing me to hear layers of bass that hits just right without ever dominating and muddying the equally sharp highs. Beyer really wasn’t kidding when they said these cans are for critical listening. You hear everything. Corsair’s understated HS70 Bluetooth is compatible with just about every device you can think of. Pairing it with your PC or smartphone via Bluetooth is a charm, but it’s the dual input functionality that elevates the HS70. For example, wire the headset into your Nintendo Switch/Switch Lite console, then connect it via Bluetooth to your phone (or vice-versa), and you’ll be able to use Nintendo’s voice chat app and listen to the in-game audio at the same time.

But just because the surround sound you hear on a gaming headset is fake, doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy it or doubt its ability to create an immersive environment. Corsair has adopted a floating headband design that uses an adjustable strap to evenly distribute the weight across your noggin. The HS80 feels bulkier on my head than any Steelseries headset but at 370g, it's not much heavier. Thankfully, the ear cushions use plush and breathable fabric that wraps around your ears like a warm blanket. It’s quite simple: if you hate worrying about charging and connecting your gaming headset and your budget is on the tighter side, the HyperX Cloud Stinger II is an easy recommendation.Key specs – Drivers: 40mm; Wireless: Yes; Illumination: No; Connection: USB-C 2.4GHz (wireless), Bluetooth, 3.5mm; Cable length: 1.25m; Weight: 279g If you're in the know, you already know that Sennheiser has spun off its gaming products to its own brand, EPOS. So while the name is new, the expertise in crafting truly superb gaming headsets is absolutely not new. This gaming headset is absolutely strapped, coming with the same drivers as the award-winning PC37X, but tuned to be easier to drive without a seperate amplifier or DAC, with a reduced impedence of 28 ohms.

There are a few console-specific headsets and variations you can consider, like the Xbox Wireless Headset, which offers strong performance. Still, you generally won't find a "best" headset unique to a console; the top models usually have multiple, system-specific versions. Headaches, sore ears, and headphones that fall off whenever you move around are all problems related to uncomfortable, ill-fitting headsets. Compared to the similarly priced older version (the H340), you’ll see that the H390 are a true upgrade. The Logitech H390 have a more stylish look for teleconferences, a padded headband, and an additional in-line control panel. The Arctis Nova Pro's made even more portable with a pair of hot-swappable, lithium-ion batteries. These charge up in under an hour slotted into the side of the ESS Sabre Quad-DAC, or throughUSBType-C charging cable connected to the headset. I've not had to plug in once in the month I've had it; I just swap the battery over when one's about to die, which takes a good two and a half days of full use. I don't usually recommend leaving the house with a gaming headset plonked on your head, but actually that's exactly what I'm about to do. There's a wave of new gaming headsets that claim to be suited to both desktop gaming and venturing outside, and the SteelSeries Nova Pro is our favorite of the lot. It isn’t let down by the design, either, with a lightweight build, comfortable memory foam ear cups (that also do a nice job at passive noise cancellation) and a satisfyingly simple volume knob located on the side. The removable boom mic and the absence of any garish RGB lighting mean you’ll also feel comfortable using them out and about with your phone, provided it allows for a 3.5mm wired connection. The earcups are spacious and lined with a soft memory foam that makes the headset extremely comfortable to wear and it’s foldable too, so can be transported in the included fabric pouch very easily. The flip-to-mute mic is made from a flexible material that allows you to position it exactly as you wish and our teammates were highly complimentary about how clear we sounded during testing.

Few gaming headsets out there offer the ability to stream audio from two sources at once but the Beoplay Portal for PC and PlayStation is capable of exactly that. It connects wirelessly to your PC via a USB-C dongle but can also be paired with another device via Bluetooth. This makes discussing tactics your squad a breeze and also allows you to listen to podcasts while grinding. It’s undoubtedly at its best when paired with a PC, where users can enjoy Sony’s immersive 360 Spatial Audio for Gaming. PS5 gamers miss out on this feature but can still expect strong 3D audio thanks to the console’s Tempest sound engine.Finding good headphones with mic that are actually comfortable to wear is especially difficult for those of us wearing glasses. So much so that we actually have a whole guide dedicated to explaining how to wear glasses with headphones. That’s why we’re really happy to say that the Corsair HS70 Pro are genuinely great wear even with glasses. With all the qualities mentioned above, it goes without saying that if you are into content creation, the DT 900 Pro X will help you create the most accurate audio for your audience. Since a lot of us are now dabbling in some form of creation be it streaming, podcasting or YouTube, these are a no brainer. The only serious downside to the Nova Pro is the price. For a device that claims to be a gaming headset, headphones, and fit for consoles, you sure feel like you're paying for multiple devices. I suppose you have to weigh up whether you'd only go and spend more money on another pair of headphones to take outside the house, or if you'd rather a one-headset-fits-all approach. The Corsair HS80 is a great headset. It sounds great in both games and other media with a wonderful implementation of Dolby Atmos. If you do a lot of chat, the microphone is one of the best we've tested. The same software also gives workers the advanced hearing protection offered by SoundGuard DIGITAL. This protects against damaging sounds over 118dB.
