About this deal

An LED strip has also been added to the base of the Arizer Extreme Q2 which aside from providing some sweet eye candy, also does a great job of indicating the current status of the vaporizer. For example, the LED strip pulses between yellow and orange during heat-up and pulses blue while cooling down. While the feature is simple on paper, the Arizer XQ2 does it a bit better than your average vaporizer thanks to the fact that it offers more than your basic 3 status indicators which has seemingly become the norm for this type of feature. The Arizer XQ2 draws inspiration from the same simplistic blueprint that has manufactured previous Arizer vaporisers, which have carved out a name for themselves with every vaper that has given them a try. The XQ2 is powered by a ceramic heater which provides convection heating, but the glass also gets super hot with use, so I would think that you have to be getting at least some conduction in addition to the convection. The device stands around 6.5” tall and is just over 6” wide at the base. Without the power cable or any glass, the unit itself weighs in at only 490g. It reminds me of the DynaVap Orion in the way that it seems almost weirdly light for its size, and I wouldn’t complain if it was a little bit heavier, as it would give the device a more substantial feel.

The XQ2 vaporizer has a conical/silo shape, with the loading chamber located at the top and the electronics at the bottom, similar to the original Extreme Q. Despite the plethora of features included, the XQ2 takes up very little space, and fits in well with other household appliances. Fill the extraction chamber up to where the frosted joint begins or even a little higher. After you have let the bowl heat up for three to five minutes, take a long consistent draw to get the best results. The first couple of hits usually have no visible vapour, just pure delicious terps, after those initial hits it starts spitting big clouds out. The Arizer XQ2 is also an updated version of a prior device – the Extreme Q ( review | buy). The XQ2 was created to be the culmination of the brand’s 15 years of design and development experience – and it shows. Arizer devices have a similar set of cornerstone features: precise temperature control, clear OLED screens, and long, borosilicate mouthpieces that keep the vapor cool (which is the Arizer Signature) – the XQ2 has all these and more in the way of functionality. Why’s it Worth Comparing? The vapor quality is well above average and competes with higher-priced desktop vaporizers. The vapor is sometimes wispy and/or less dense than other top desktop vaporizers, but the flavor is always fantastic. There’s also very little draw resistance with the balloon option, and the fan speed is more than powerful enough to dump tons of vapor into your lungs. Both devices come with a lot – which is quite expected for desktop devices. The Volcano comes with roughly 13 pieces, while the XQ2 comes with 18 pieces. Arizer released the XQ2 dry herb vaporizer, the successor to the Extreme Q that’s been over ten years in the making. If you’re on a tighter budget, the Extreme Q is still the vape to beat. But for the small price difference, the XQ2 is the better value. Here comes our full head-to-head matchup: the Arizer XQ2 vaporizer versus the Extreme Q! Both have great vapor quality You’re looking for Volcano-like performance with modern features at a fraction of the price point. The Arizer XQ2 offers more versatility and ease of use thanks to its 360 ° rotating whip attachment for easy sharing. Optimized Convection Oven

In this Arizer XQ2 vaporizer review, I’ll go over the upgrades from the Arizer Extreme Q, talk about the new XQ2 balloon system, and discuss whether or not I think the XQ2 is worth the upgrade from the Extreme-Q. I’ll also go over how to use the new Arizer XQ2 vaporizer, how to clean the XQ2, and the best tips for use. The Extreme-Q vaporizer is known for its impressive vapor quality, complete control over sessions, and great value. The new Arizer XQ2 vaporizer is everything the Extreme-Q was but with some much-needed upgrades. Arizer has never allowed a shred of doubt in the quality of its devices, and it has always managed to remain creative and impressive with its design approach. The XQ2 comes in a completely new redesign that resembles a UFO but is more aesthetically pleasing. The shell of the vaporiser is made from hard, top-quality plastic, which makes the device feel a lot lighter than it is compared to other legends like the Volcano. You turn the XQ2 on with the main power button on either the XQ2 remote or on the user interface. From there select the temperature and the unit will begin to heat up automatically (however a delay can be selected in the settings). The aesthetic upgrades as well as the tremendous value the device offers will make this an appealing unit for anyone looking for an affordable desktop option that gives excellent performance. Both devices share a similar look – they’re both conical devices with solid bases. However, one of the most surprising things is that the Arizer XQ2 is extremely light. Without the pieces attached – the Multi-purpose heater weighs about 450g – which is pretty great if you’re looking to take it out to a party or something. This is greatly due to the fact that the XQ2’ entire outer shell is made of plastic.

The XQ2 is vertically oriented, like a hookah , instead of a side attachment like most whip vapes. The three foot silicone tubing is perfect for solo sessions with the vape on a side table, but also swivels so you can pass it to a friend. I found the ritual familiar and relaxing, and prefer the whip when vaping on my own. The taste from the first few hits is amazing, and I find it easier to go at my own pace than with the bag. Arizer XQ2 Whip and Balloon system. The attention to detail extends to the user manual. It is very well done and comes in multiple languages, making it easy for vapers from different regions to make the most out of the Arizer XQ2. Another aspect of the XQ2 I wanted to test out during the review was the fact it goes to 500°F. Generally anything over 450°F you run the risk of combusting and burning your herb. The XQ2 is able to get away with this in part due to the stand off distance between the heating element and the herb. However if you are using the larger cyclone chamber (closer to the ceramic heater) and let your herb sit there for a few minutes, it will in fact combust when you draw.

This also has RGB LED illumination with various modes that can be switched on and off, which is ideal for establishing the desired mood while vaping. I know, I’m weird. But it works! You’ll find your own ritual that gets it just the way you like it. Lots of hot, breakable glass partsThe Volcano Hybrid brings in a lot of improvements which make it a compelling choice over the original Volcano Classic. It’s hybrid heating system is also top-notch, delivering some of the best tasting and hardest hitting vapor we’ve yet to experience from a desktop vaporizer. All of these are not without its downsides unfortunately. It’s technical superiority over the Arizer XQ2 is without a doubt reflected in its price tag, fetching close to triple the amount of dollarydoos that the XQ2 commands. The Volcano has since been upgraded and is now available as the Volcano Hybrid ( review | buy) which features a touch-sensitive interface, LED display, and full customization via a smartphone app. The Hybrid gets its name from S&B’s patented hybrid heating and the option to use either the balloon and a whip. That’s why the Arizer XQ2 and the OG Extreme-Q desktop vaporizers are such great value buys. They may not be the best at the bags or whip options, it’s pretty darn close and can save you a lot of money.
