About this deal

The Philosopher Responds: An Intellectual Correspondence from the Tenth Century, Volume One ( By: James E. Montgomery, Abu Hayyan Al-Tawhidi) Echo of the Dead is the nineteenth book in the DSI Lorimer series of crime novels set in Glasgow. I have been a huge fan since the very first one, and they just keep getting better. Just for a change, this one is set in and around Glencoe in the Scottish highlands. Alex Gray doesn't seem to have an upcoming book. Their newest book is Questions for a Dead Man and was released on February, 23rd 2023. It is the newest book in the Lorimer & Brightman Series. There are sweeping descriptions of the Highland landscapes, with its mountains, lochs and farming communities, but there are also fascinating details, such as information about the plant life and traditions of the area. The mountains loom large over the action and the author cleverly uses the point of view of foreign incomers to describe the scenery, comparing and contrasting with it that of their homelands. The dialogue is authentic, with local Scottish dialect words that are used without explanation – something that I particularly enjoyed. There’s also a rich seam of history and folklore, scattered with snippets of the songs and poems that characterise the locality.

The Epistle of Forgiveness: Volume One ( By: Geert Jan Van Gelder, Ab? al-?Al?? al-Ma?arr?, ??? ?????? ??????, Gregor Schoeler) It’s been 20 years since Alex Gray’s first book was published. Now, the Scottish crime writer is preparing to launch her 19th novel. However, the pair wrote to each other for the next nine months. They got married in a Church in Harare. Alex had to abandon her teaching career to make the trip, but she never regretted the decision.Never Somewhere Else: Several women are dead. Someone strangled them before abandoning them in Glasgow Park for the public to discover. DCI Lorimer must find the killer. But the task is far from easy. The culprit is a vicious murderer who mutilated the victims. The Book of Charlatans ( By: S.A. Chakraborty, Humphrey Davies, Jam?l al-D?n ?Abd al-Ra??m al-Jawbar?, Manuela Dengler) It’s set in Glencoe. Lorimer is climbing Buachaille Etive Mor at the start. Again, we are seeing a bit more of Lorimer. With every book, I wanted to show a different side of Glasgow, or some more of Lorimer.

However, because she couldn’t teach during her illness, the author had begun to write. She started with short stories before joining a workshop and finally penning a novel. One of the nicest things about this 20-year journey has been making friends with my heroes and heroines, like Anne Cleeves, Christopher Brookmyre, Ian Rankin and Val McDermid, who are all pals.

The Book of Travels: Two-Volume Set ( By: ?ann? Diy?b, Yasmine Seale, Paulo Lemos Horta, Johannes Stephan, Elias Muhanna) The Berenstain Bears, Faith Gets Us Through (Short Story) ( By: Stan Berenstain, Jan Berenstain, Mike Berenstain)Kid-Approved Exercises and Active Games (Short Story) ( By: Kimberly Wechsler, Michael Sleva, Darren S. McLaughlin) Alex Gray's latest addition to her DSI William Lorimer shifts from its Glasgow location to the grandeur and magnificence of the Scottish Highlands and Glencoe with its gruesome history of the massacre which Zimbabwean Daniel Kohi learns of from Lorimer on a hiking break to the region. However, there is drama when they come across a dead man, Dutchman Hans Van Der Bilt, from what looks like a fall. His grieving wife, Juliet, suffering from a broken leg, is pregnant, as she arrives to find out as much as possible as to what had happened to her husband. Prior to this incident, Dwyer, a young American, a climbing enthusiast had gone missing, leaving locals worried. A teenager, Tilly MacFarlane is walking her dog, Fly, when she discovers Dwyer's body, and the PM establishes that he was murdered.
