About this deal

I adored how this story played out nothing came easy and it was a well-done journey. Vicious went from wanting to destroy Emilia, to lusting after her, to learning how to love her. The scene with the credit card at the tattoo shop…OMG! I think that my main issue is that I did not like Rosie. For the majority of the book, I could not stand her bitterness and her jealousy for her older sister Emilia. My grip on the door handle tightened, and I swallowed, my eyes dropping to his hand as he grabbed her waist and squeezed playfully. I squeezed my own waist through the fabric of my yellow-and-white sunflower top.

The Four HotHoles ( Trent, Jamie, Dean and Vicious) who ruled the school, they were invincible, nobody touched them, everyone bowed down to them. As Vicious' past comes to light, I grew to understand his actions a little better. Don't get me wrong, he did some inexcusable things. However, it was hard to view him as a monster after everything he'd endured. At last, I wanna add I Don't only like the "idea" of him. I love every molecule, every fiber of him

Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn’t leaving until he takes me with him. I wanted to dissolve into smoke, to crawl into him and never leave. It was crazy, but that was how much I craved this man.” I heard his groan of pleasure and knew it had nothing to do with the girl he was with. He loved taunting me. Ever since our first encounter outside of his library two months ago, he’d been hell-bent on reminding me that I wasn’t good enough. Shen takes inspiration for her books mostly from TV shows, movies, music, and real-life experiences. Random conversations also inspire her sometimes and help her in coming up with interesting stories. Author Shen is satisfied with the way her career fared so far. She is hopeful of becoming more successful in the future. As of now, she is at work on her latest novel and is looking forward to creating many more interesting books in the coming years. She is grateful for all the love and support she has received from her fans and wants them to keep coming like always. Listen to yourself, Vicious. You’re obsessed with this girl. You’re in love with this girl, always have been, ever since you realized she’s not afraid or impressed by your bullshit. You’re in deep denial.”Well, enough is enough! Emilia may be too good to be true, but she is stronger than she looks. The groveling in the end satisfied me somehow, but I still think Vicious is dangerous and he can flip out any time.

When Emilia begins dating one of his closest friends, Vicious steps it up a notch. He is outraged at the defiance of Emilia and Dean, used to being in control of everyone and everything around him. Emilia is essentially ran out of town by Vicious and doesn't see him again until their paths cross again a decade later. Emilia, also known as Millie (or Help by Vicious), first met Vicious at his house's Library when she was looking for the son of her new parent's boss. From the start, he hated everything about her: her hair, her lips, her personality, the fact that she reminded him of a younger version of Jo, his step-mother (later on, we learn the reason for his hate towards Jo). Because of all the above, Vicious makes her senior year a living hell, after all, they are going to the same school, where he is the king with his other three friends and every student is rich as hell, except for her, who is the daughter of the Help. Edit 05/26: Actually, thinking about the whole teenage timeline, I've realised that a lot of the first book's part, Vicious, was cheapened to make Dean's decisions make look better and endear him to the reader. Too bad that the characters of the first book had to take a hit for that. This just deepens my dislike of this book.He hated me so much. The intensity of his glare burned my face every time he looked at me, which wasn’t as often as I’d like him to. But being the sensible girl that I was, I never allowed myself to dwell on it. I have my pet peeves, and every one of us has. Tastes are different. They can say it's fine or not, but in this case everything about this story was wrong on many levels. I know it’s dangerous but still, I will wanna get as close as I can just so I can observe, soak him up She squeezed her lips into a disapproving pout. “Really? Mindy?”—My name was Millie and she knew it—“Can’t you find anything better to do with your time? He’s a little out of your league, don’t you think?” A ten-bedroom house, three people living in it—two of them barely ever there—and the Spencers had decided to house my family in the servants’ apartment near the garage. It was bigger than our clapboard rental in Richmond, Virginia, but until that moment, it had still rubbed me the wrong way.

And when she leaves him because he is using her and oh let's not forget he is an asshole, he does this Ten years out of high school and Vicious devises to seek out Emelia in NYC. He needs a PA and has this big plan to hire her (with ulterior motives of course). He offers her the job of a lifetime—one that Emelia simply can’t turn down. She needs this, but Vicious appears to be the same brute he was in high school. Whilst I technically read this in the last week of December, I am putting this straight on my Top 10 of 2017 shelf. For me, this one had it all, it starts off at High School, and finishes years later when they are both adults. Emilia is the daughter of the hired help, and Baron ‘Vicious’ Spencer is the boy who, whilst his uninterested parents are not often around, rules both the large mansion they live in, and the local school where he and his friends 'The Four Hotholes' roam free. The book kept me interested, though one thing put me off giving this novel a five-star rating: the plot. It was a bit 'shaky'. The whole four friends own and rule the high school and the whole damn town with “Yoko Ono” thrown into the middle seemed kind of ridiculous.

They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it's true. The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares. He is a brilliant lawyer. A skilled criminal. A beautiful liar. A bully and a saviour, a monster and a lover. Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn't leaving until he takes me with him. Vicious?” I called out, trying to steady my voice. I straightened my spine, even though he couldn’t see me. “It’s Millie. Sorry to interrupt, y’all. I just wanted to borrow your calc book. Mine’s lost, and I really need to get ready for that exam we have tomorrow.” God forbid you ever study for our exam yourself, I breathed silently. When Shen is not writing, she can be found reading her favorite books or watching TV on Netflix and HBO with a glass of wine or even catching the rays of the sun with her cat. Author Shen was born and brought up in San Francisco, California. Before settling down, she traveled to different locations across the globe and made numerous friends. Those who know her well jokingly say that she is not a good companion, forgets birthdays of people very often, and never sends cards to her friends on Christmas. Shen likes to describe herself as the kind of person who cherishes life’s simple things, such as enjoying the company of her family and relaxing with them in her free time. She has the habit of reading 3 to 5 books every week, which has greatly helped in shaping her writing career. Shen considers her son to be the most important thing in life. She cannot let him out of sight even for one moment.
