About this deal

And so began the war that lasted centuries: werewolves against vampires. This is where the first movie begins, with Selene, a Death Dealer with a striking resemblance to Viktor’s daughter, hunting werewolves who are trailing the human, Michael Corvin. Intrigued as to why a human would be of interest to werewolves, she follows the young doctor. Lucian - Viktor - Amelia - Helena Corvinus - Cecilia - Grushenka - Olga - Selene's Father - Corvinus Clan - Radu - Istvan - Erika - Soren - Miklos - Drago - Leonid Florescu Vanessa Nagy Timea is a Vampire socialite who appears briefly in Underworld. Oddly, she is never mentioned in the official novelization and has no speaking lines, but is still given an official name in the cast listing. Given the use of a name in the cast listing, it is possible that she may have been originally meant to have a larger role.

Kraven drives to the Lycan den, where he confronts Lucian about everything that's gone wrong at the Vampire mansion. Lucian looks on Kraven with disgust, and announces that Kraven has messed everything up and that he now must fix Kraven's mistakes. Unhappy with Lucian's chiding of him, Kraven pulls out the Silver Nitrate gun and shoots Lucian once. As Lucian falls to the floor, Kraven flees the room, searching for a way to escape the lair. Kraven rushes to the exit, but gets there just in time to see Viktor approaching the Lycan den. Realizing he can't get out that way, he begins to wander the lair, alternatively trying to find a way out and hiding from the Death Dealers. Amelia's portrait at Eastern Coven has a inscription written in Latin that reads: 'Amor Praevalet' which translates 'Love Prevails'. Selene - Michael Corvin - Marcus Corvinus - Alexander Corvinus - William Corvinus - Kraven - Andreas TanisUlrik is not a Pure-Born; in the novelization he is seen by Coloman crossing himself, "calling upon the mercy of a God [he] had not thought of for many Human lifetimes." [2] Since Pure-Borns are not raised to follow Christ, Ulrik had to have once been human. N/A Count Ulrik was a member of the upper ranks of the Vampire Coven, holding the title of a Count among the Vampires, during the events of Rise of the Lycans. He is only depicted in the novelization; apparently, Ulrik was also a member of the Vampire Council. Determined that the time has come to free William, Marcus sought out Selene, a Vampire Death Dealer who held half of the key to William's dungeon. He failed on the first attempt thanks to Michael Corvin, Selene's Hybrid lover, who is also a distant relative of Marcus. He learned from Tanis that the other half of the key is held by his father, who had retrieved it from Viktor's body, before killing Tanis and travelling to the Sancta Helena to retrieve Viktor's key. Marcus's name is derived from " Mars", the Ancient Roman God of War, an appropriate name for the son of a warlord.

Rather than summarise each movie, it is perhaps better to look at the mythology of the universe itself, as this is what I love anyway. N.B.: Spoilers do abound. The Corvinus Clan has been around since at least the early seasons of the fifth century, if not earlier. Described by Lycan scientist Singe as "the rarest of bloodlines", it was from within the blood of one Alexander Corvinus, a Warlord, Duke, and the Patriarch of the Corvinus Clan, (and a recipient of this same rare bloodline), that the Corvinus Strain was mutated, in his immune system's response to a plague that ravaged his home village, his rare bloodstrain bonding with and adapting the plague virus, and himself in turn, to his benefit. In the end, Alexander alone survives the plague, becoming "the first true Immortal".After finding a safe house using Singe's blood memories, Marcus uses Kraven's blood memories of using a computer to access the safe house's computer system and find Selene. Marcus later informs Selene of Kraven's death after Selene tries to explain to him what had happened leading up to her killing Viktor. Given the numerous continuity errors in the Chain that are never explained, it is very likely that the Chain was initially supposed to have run uninterrupted for 14 centuries, but was retconned in later installments for unknown reasons. It is also possible the record of the Chain was altered by Viktor’s efforts in hiding and rewriting Vampire history. After Singe's death, his body is left sprawled in the Elder's Chamber where his blood drips into the coffin of Marcus Corvinus and awakens him as a Hybrid.

Lycan Den - Subway Station - Apartment 510 - Vampire Safe Houses - Budapest - Saint Istvan Hospital - Castle Corvinus A bust of Kraven sits next to those of the Elders, but Erika smashes it and hides the pieces in her rage over Kraven's rejection of her. Around the end of the 20th century, Amelia had a son, David, with the Vampire Thomas. Amelia and Thomas were very close and seem to have had an intimate relationship. When Thomas learned of her pregnancy, they both went to the Nordic Coven and remained there for several months, where she gave birth to their son. When suspicions began to grow regarding their whereabouts, Semira was sent to investigate, but by the time she arrived, Thomas had already left with their newborn son and Amelia had returned to the Eastern Coven, keeping their relationship and their son a secret to protect them from her enemies. Although she doesn't appear in Blood Enemy, Amelia had a brief mention. She is said to often indulge in baths of blood, believing it to enhance her beauty. [1] Personality [ ]While Singe is being interrogated, a Vampire named Kahn arrives and informs Viktor of the Elder Amelia's assassination by Lycans, proving that Singe is telling the truth. Singe laughs at the knowledge of Amelia's death, causing Viktor to punch him, destroying most of his face and killing him instantly. Kraven grows suspicious of Amelia's mysterious absence from Vampire society and sends Semira and her troops to investigate.
