I very strongly recommend using sliced oranges for this turkey fruit tray. The curved edges and orange color is perfect for the rounded top of the feathers. Continue to arrange other large pieces like apple wedges and pineapple near that top layer. As a result, the turkey meat will be juicier and easier to carve. The meat of the turkey leg is still pink. Is it safe to eat? Halve the clementines and place in the main turkey cavity with the remaining thyme – not filling it too full allows hot air to circulate, cooking the bird from the inside out and from the outside in.
