About this deal

This follows Noemi and Connor. Noemi has been promised to the Irish Mafia family. Her father killed her mother and if she refuses the hand of the Irish she fears her father will do the same. Connor is intrigued by the mysterious woman who is labelled an unsuitable bride due to being mute. Which is perfect because that makes her silent. But something is just not right. THE HERO ALWAYS SAY TO THE HEROINE AND TO HIMSELF AND TO MANY PEOPLE THAT THE HEROINE IS HIS WIFE AND MINE. MINE. Within a year of self-publishing her first book, Jill Ramsower quit her job as an attorney and dedicated her days to churning out romantic adventures. She likes to think of her books as contemporary romance with a touch of fantasy--at its core, her writing is about the connection between two people. Sometimes that connection involves a little magic... In the midst of my crippling sorrow, fear and fury simmered to life beneath my surface. All of it was directed at one man. The same man who should have been my solace and sanctuary. I became so furious with my father that I feared what I might say. That he’d hear the accusation and frustration coating my words and figure out I knew the truth. Jill is a Texan, born and raised. She manages the hectic social calendars for her three active children and occasionally spends an evening with her dashing husband. Aside from being an author and a mom, she’s a travel junkie and loves to read when she is not lost in her own stories.

The hero is not a manwhor3. Doesn’t even talk about it or have a history about it. Even people around him doesn’t even say that about him. As for the love story, though there were some cliché–the instant protectiveness Conner feels for Noemi, the slight dominance, the love that comes from nowhere–it was entertaining to read. Noemi and Conner are fire and ice, equally hot but hardly compatible. At least at first. They’re both an enigma for the other, showing qualities that contradict their expectations. They have nice tense moments, some more intimate and tender scenes, and of course the scorching sexy.

You know the controlling. Possessive. Bookboyfriend but in realty the girl is the one in control??? Yummy 😋😋 Corrupted Union was a solid 5 star read for me - I absolutely loved it! It was definitely a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride. Rowan has a lot of trauma she hasn't worked through and it's heart breaking at times. I absolutely love the "steal her from the other man (OM)" trope and this one certainly delivers. I won't ruin what happens, but Keir definitely was getting the girl whether she wanted it or not, lol. Well written with a great storyline and a touch of suspense thrown in. Definitely a "mafia lite" type of read and it totally hit the spot. Highly recommend and I cannot wait until the next book comes out! I was engaged and invested from the very beginning by Michelle Sparks & Gabriel Spiers’ narration. It was a first for me for both these narrators and I’m really glad they worked well together to make my listening experience fantastic!

Only problem is that there was something sinister that lurked underneath this tempting veneer. Something ruthless and dark. Luca Romano set his sights on Alessia the moment those doors closed. She could not escape him, no matter how hard she tried. There was this mutinous side of her that didn’t even want to run. As if she ever even had a choice. The story itself was amazing. I have to admit, throughout most of it, I just couldn't see how Ramsower was going to get them out of the danger they faced. I could honestly see no way out without severe repercussions to all. But trust Ramsower to give you those twists that, in the end, make perfect sense.I took his tie in my hand, pulling him slowly lower until our noses almost touched, and shook my head slowly side to side. His hands came to rest on either side of my head as he brought his cheek to mine, his hint of stubble creating a delicious friction against my skin. HEROINE is very immature sometimes because of her age and also her father is so protective of her so she doesn’t get out much. I mean literally her father treats her like a prisoner in their own house. So I understand and don’t get too bother with her immature thoughts and words. Also be patient with her thoughts okay cause sometimes her thoughts be so overthinking🤣 But despite all of that, the heroine is a very nice woman and friendly to nice people. She got a good heart. She’s not too sassy but sassy enough to defend herself. I prefer a sassy heroine though🤣 One time, this giant tattooed mobster broke into our house and held me at knifepoint. Can you believe that?"

For me, this was an Audio Listen and the narrators did a great job! I am an avid audio book listener – 5 star listen. El matrimonio se da entre dos personas de diferentes organizaciones la Italiana y la Irlandesa, me pareció interesante porque nunca había leído está combinación. This book did both – I feel the storyline was well written and kept me wanting to know what happens next. They complemented the suspense part of the plot. Because in a mafiaverse, besides the blood family, you have the Family–the organization one is a part of. Sometimes, they’re one and the same, but not always. Here we get two different situations with Noemi and Conner, which was interesting. Also, organizations fight for control, and the rivalries and alliances form the core of the suspense. There’s action and violence and it keeps the reader interested. Noemi's mother was killed 6 months before the start of this book and the person who killed her? Her own father. Why? She knew something about his devious plans (aka wanted to murder the leader and his brother-in-law to get power). Noemi was not supposed to be in the same car at all but her mother confessed everything when she knew they were in danger which resulted in Noemi faking silence and tell the world she lost her voice. The fight scene at the end reminded me of the newscaster brawls in Anchorman, where bad guys from different gangs kept popping out to join the fight. I rolled my eyes so much.
