About this deal

Action and adventure on land and sea—you can’t ask for more. But Robert Kurson raises the ante in Pirate Hunters with an array of mystery and a fleet of colorful characters spanning four centuries. This is a great summer read!” —Michael Connelly A notorious pirate is chased by a disguised agent of the Royal Navy. The pirate is a brooding anti-hero who is converted to the cause of American freedom. The sea storms are perhaps more convincing than the characters.

This book tells the story of women, both real and legendary, who through the ages sailed alongside—and sometimes in command of—their male counterparts. These women came from all walks of life but had one thing in common: a desire for freedom.Yet as days pass in close quarters, Nathaniel’s feisty spirit and alluring innocence beguile and bewitch. Although Hawk knows he must keep his distance, the desire to teach Nathaniel the pleasure men can share grows uncontrollable. It’s not as though Hawk would ever feel anything for him besides lust… First published in 1922, this novel tells the story of Peter Blood, an Irish physician and soldier in England in the 1680s. After being wrongly convicted of treason and sentenced to indentured slavery in the Caribbean, Blood escapes and becomes the most feared pirate captain on the Spanish Main. But all the glory of his adventures cannot help him, for the woman he loves cannot love a thief and pirate. Pirate books for children: nonfiction Jean Laffite: The Pirate Who Saved America by Susan Goldman Rubin and Jeff Himmelman Celia Rees expertly combines a story of two women who are struggling to find different kinds of freedom - Minerva freedom to be herself without suffering cruelty and racism, and Nancy a freedom to be herself away from the bindings of society. The friendship and sisterly bond between Nancy and Minerva is everything, and it is the main focal point of the story for me and romantic relationships are completely overshadowed by Nancy's love for Minerva which is fantastic.

Fast-paced and filled with suspense, fascinating characters, history, and adventure, Pirate Hunters is an unputdownable story that goes deep to discover truths and souls long believed lost. Unofficially, Kell is a smuggler, servicing people willing to pay for even the smallest glimpses of a world they'll never see. It's a defiant hobby with dangerous consequences, which Kell is now seeing firsthand. Mayfair, London, 1810: Alexandra Alastair, a respectable young English widow, wonders if she dare add the new viscount who’s moved in next door to her list of potential husbands.Others plot to win or steal a liveship. The Paragon, known by many as the Pariah, went mad, turned turtle, and drowned his crew. Now he lies blind, lonely, and broken on a deserted beach. But greedy men have designs to restore him, to sail the waters of the Rain Wild River once more. This story was breathtaking. I was riveted and couldn't put it down until I was done. Yes there were parts like in any other book that you think wow can we move on, but it's nothing more than a paragraph that I felt like this and not very often. It is juvenile fiction but the story should captivate anyone and doesn't read as simple as most juvenile fiction. AT ANY RATE! All that sounds like an interesting plot and it is an interesting plot. However, it fails to live up to its potential. As princess of the island kingdom Visidia, Amora Montara has spent her entire life training to be High Animancer — the master of souls. The rest of the realm can choose their magic, but for Amora, it’s never been a choice. To secure her place as heir to the throne, she must prove her mastery of the monarchy’s dangerous soul magic.
