About this deal

Today, even ISO 12,800 looks the same as ISO 100, with the only difference being a little more noise replacing what used to be legitimate fine textures of the subject. Otherwise, the shadows and highlights and colors and everything look the same. As I'm primarily a stills shooter, at the end of the day, image quality and AF reliability (especially in low light) are the two things that matter most to me and the D750 holds its ground in both regards to the Z6; all the touchscreens and in-body IS systems in the world can't change that. For these reasons I'll be holding on the my D750 and waiting at least another generation before making the move to Nikon mirrorless.

The focusing screen is a Type B BriteView Clear Matte Mark VIII, compared to Mark III version in the D750. The Nikon D750 has a native ISO range between 100 and 12800. And thanks to its large full-frame sensor, images are very clean up to ISO1600 and completely usable at ISO6400. What is ISO NIKON D750 + Zeiss Distagon T* 2/35 ZF.2 @ ISO 100, 1/125, f/5.6 Viewfinder Size and Focus Point Spread EN-EL15 rechargeable Li-ion battery (with terminal cover), MH-25 battery charger, BS-1 accessory shoe cover, DK-21 rubber eyecup, BM-14 monitor cover, BF-1B body cap, DK-5 eyepiece cap, AN-DC8 strap, UC-E15 USB cable, ViewNX 2 CD Rated 1,230 single shots with the EN-EL15, measured at 23°C/73°F with an AF-S NIKKOR 24–85mm f/3.5–4.5G ED VR lens cycled from infinity to minimum range and one photograph taken at default settings once every 30s; flash fired once every other shot. Live view not used.

Nikon D780: Eye level pentaprism single lens reflex viewfinder offering 100% frame coverage; 3.2-inch touch screen LCD with 2,359,000 dot resolution As we mentioned in our introductory paragraph, the D780 betters its bigger brother the Nikon D850’s ISO range, with its core ISO100-ISO51200 extendable up to a whopping ISO204800 equivalent, or down to ISO50. In theory this should provide low light shooting flexibility in spades and makes the D780 the preferred option of the two cameras here if low light work is important to you. The Quiet mode (set on the top left dial) isn't quiet. It's as loud as the normal S mode, except that it disconnects the shutter cycle so the shutter doesn't recharge until you lift your finger from the shutter. In Q mode, it's about as noisy as the S mode as you press the shutter, and then there's a second softer sound as you lift your finger a moment later. Lens choices are different. If one brand has a unique lens you really like, like Nikon's 28-300mm VR for which Canon has no direct replacement at a similar size, weight and price, go Nikon. If you need a zoom full frame fisheye, it's Canon. Comes with GP1-CA10A cable for ten-pin remote terminals; GP1-CA90 cable for accessory terminals and GP1-CL1 strap adapter.

When using the Nikon D750 the battery life is very good. When u use Nikon lenses that don’t have stabilisation and don’t use the screen too much it just keeps on going on one charge for days. My Sigma ART lens keeps the image stabilisation on all the time, so that uses a little more juice draining the battery faster. I also tend to keep WI-FI off until I need it, because that will also use quite some power. The Nikon D750 uses the same EN-EL15 batteries found in a lot of other Nikon cameras, so if you have some of those lying around you can keep using them. I use the original from Nikon and have bought a replacement battery from Hähnel. One of those orange ‘Extreme’ batteries. That offers 100 mAh more power than the original and is a little cheaper. I’ve been using those Hähnel Extreme batteries in all my cameras, and they have never let me down. And it also works like a charm in the Nikon D750. Image taken with the Nikon D750 It only flips up 135º or down 90.º It does not flip side to side, and you can't flip it 180º for self portraits. As you may have read I’m quite happy with the Nikon D750, as an all-round performer I think it is one of the nicest (Nikon-)cameras you can buy. No matter what you throw at it. AF performance isn’t the best in the world anymore. But that isn’t because the Nikon D750 isn’t good, but more because there are newer cameras that have even more sophisticated systems like the D500/D850 and D5. But since those are in another price range it still is class leading. The same goes for image quality. So, all in all, I can’t think of any other camera you can buy new for the same amount of money as the Nikon D750 that offers such great balance in image quality, usability and features. So if you are a Nikon shooter that wants to upgrade or switch within the F-mount system I’d say the Nikon D750 is a great contender that certainly deserves your attention, even though it has got a few years of experience under its belt. Still sounds like a reasonably modern camera doesn’t it? But in the current (2018) Nikon full frame and pro-body line-up, who’s it for? Photo taken with the Nikon D750, Sigma 24-105 F4 ART and a PolarPro ND/PL filter. Shutter speeds - Shutter speeds available have improved on the D780, with 1/8000sec the fastest shutter speed available, compared to 1/4000sec on the D750. The slowest shutter speed can be 900seconds (15 minutes) allowing true long-exposure photography.AF is awesome, as expected. The D750 also has the AF-A mode that Nikon took out of the D810 which automatically selects AF-S (single) if the subject is still, or AF-C (continuous) if the subject it moving. I usually shoot in AF-A mode. shoot a lot of portraits and would enjoy frame-wide auto-focus coverage or perks such as eye-detect To see a level or virtual horizon display in the finder, assign this to an Fn button (MENU > Custom Settings > f2 Assign Fn Button > Press) and then press that button.
