Gahhhh another Natasha Madison audiobook because the first one was so good I had to immediately jump into book two! Let me start off by saying romantic suspense is not a go-to genre for me. But every time I finish I Cynthia Eden book, I question my decision making and tastes. WHY am I not reading more of this!?! I absolutely love Cynthia Eden’s books. Her writing style is fast paced, sexy, engaging and above all completely consuming. I have a hard time putting her books down. And this book was no exception. When I started this journey four months ago I never expected to end up here. But yet, here I am. Completely in love with Noah York and completely loving Cynthia Eden's ability to craft such suspenseful romances. I figured after the two prior books in this series that I would have been able to figure it out, that I would pinpoint the way she shaped the scenes and gave the clues... but nope. I was kept on the edge of my seat until the end and my mind was going crazy trying to figure it all out. Like if I was able solve the puzzle, find all the clues - I could stop it all from happening. They were a work in progress, but they knew as much and they did their due diligence to be better for each other, for their loved ones, and for themselves.

I'll say I had the killer pegged in this one, but I did second guess it once, okay maybe twice. Needing to escape Shelby and Ace decide to go on the honeymoon that has already been booked. Exploring Turks and Caicos, lines will be crossed and walls will crumble and what follows is passionate and intense. As feelings also become involved, will they take a chance on love together? Also, I sometimes love dirty talk during sex scenes in books if it is for my taste but as soon as they start having sex, she starts talking dirty and I didn't feel OK with that. I would be OK with it later maybe but not on day one or two.

One of my favorite things about Cynthia Eden's book is that she not only gives you dual POVs, but she also give you a peak inside the villain's head. It really spikes up the suspense of the story. KLM will forever be my favorite romantic suspense author!! Her writing and storytelling just gets better and better with each book. This book had me on the edge of my seat from the Prologue - holding my breath, trying to slow my heart rate - and I couldn't wait for what was to come in this addictive and sexy dark thriller. I love when we play drinking games,” she announces, getting close to me, and I have to squat down in the water to make sure she doesn’t see my boner because there are no words in the dictionary that can justify getting a hard-on for your best friend. Every damn time I thought I was close to figuring it out, the other shoe would drop and my theory would be blown to hell. She sighed. “Oh, alright. Just let me get comfortable first, and then I'll tell you all about the ore I sold today. It wasn't much, but I got a fair price for it.” She removed her outer cloak and was about to begin unlacing her boots when she heard his next question, laden with feigned nonchalance. I liked the story and I really loved Emma for reasons I can’t reveal without spoiling anything, but between planning the sister’s wedding and trying to see how their lives could fit together in a perfect world, we see that getting to a relationship is not always perfect.
