About this deal
After laying any tiles, you’ll need to choose the right tile grout to help you complete the job and seal your tiles from dirt and moisture - and this is where we can help, too.
The colours available in this range are resistant to ultraviolet rays, too, so there’s also no concern about fading over time - and the Kerapoxy CQ also features coated quartz, making sure grout retains its original colour when cleaned. Even if it already seems clean after passing over the surface with a rubber float, always clean the surface using a Scotch-Brite® pad and water, to emulsify traces of resin on the surface which could otherwise modify the final surface finish. Mapei Ultracolor Plus does not contain Portland cement and must not be mixed with gypsum or other hydraulic binders; never add water to the mix once it has started to set. Grouting of surfaces where a high protection against the formation and proliferation of micro-organisms is required.Fixing your tiles in place is just one part of the tiling process. They also need a finishing sealing application to provide them with the best possible protection to ensure they stay in situ and look their best for longer. UniBond Ultra Force: these ready-mixed grouts make use of fibre technology for maximum durability, with top protection against moisture and mould to keep your grout looking its best for longer. Colour options include grey and navy blue, infused with glitter to bring sparkle to walls or floors tiled in porcelain, ceramic or natural stone
Final cleaning of the powdery film of Mapei Ultracolor Plus from the surface may be carried out with a clean, dry cloth. Kerapoxy CQ does not guarantee perfect bonding if the edges of the tiles are wet or contaminated with cement, dust, oil, grease, etc. during grouting.Mapei Ultracolor Plus is suitable for grouting walls and floors in areas that are subject to intense traffic, such as shopping centres, airports, restaurants and other public spaces. It is also suitable for residential use in all areas, such as facades, balconies, terraces and swimming pools. Prep the area: first and foremost, make sure the adhesive has fully dried, then carefully carve out any excess adhesive, tile spacers, dust and other debris between the tile joints, using a vacuum at the final stage to remove as much as possible. If you don’t have a colour preference, or hadn’t realised there were numerous options to choose from, the Mapei grout colour chart below can help you to visualise the different shades before you buy.
