About this deal

Our research into harnessing the medicinal properties of honey has continued at Zuf Globus and over recent years we have researched and developed several new, targeted 'functional' honeys. These were all created by following the same principals as LifeMel but are designed for more common medical conditions. For example one of our honeys, GastroMel, has been formulated to provide effective relief from symptoms of IBS and digestive discomfort. Five of these products have been released in the UK market in the past six months with more planned for 2012. Those smart people are from Kiryat Shmona, Israel, and they created this honey at Zuf Globus Laboratories Ltd, after thirty years’ research . The honey they created is very good for preventing and treating the side-effects of chemotherapy and radiation suffered by cancer patients, and thus tremendously improving their quality of life. Despite the fact that the mechanism of action of honey on oral mucositis is not well established, it may be due to the analgesic [ 80], antimicrobial [ 81], and wound-healing [ 82] properties that have been attributed to this food. In addition, qualities, such as high viscosity, high osmolarity, and low pH level of honey enhance its bacterial and fungal inhibitory activity [ 80]. On the one hand, since honey contains a characteristic sweetness [ 80] as well as ascorbic, citric, and malic acids [ 35], it increases salivation, and thus promotes repair and healing of the oral mucosa. On the other hand, weight loss is very common in cancer patients and has negative effects, such as increased risk of infection and reduced quality of life, treatment responses, and survival [ 83]. The positive effect of honey on body weight in cancer patients may be due to its positive effects on mucositis, as this results in increased oral food intake [ 84]. The positive effect of honey against neutropenia could be associated with its antioxidant [ 40], antimicrobial, and immunomodulatory [ 41] properties. Another hypothesis is that honey could increase levels of granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) [ 41], which induces neutrophil production [ 85] by increasing TNF-α and IL-1. The evidence seems to indicate that honey is quite beneficial for cancer patients, although more standardized and longer-term studies are needed to confirm these effects. Natural it might be, but does Life Mel actually work? The company's PR people claim that they have received hundreds of positive accounts from patients. "Life Mel constantly receives letters and phone calls from people who have tried the product and felt the benefits," said Carolanne Bamford. Hollywell Health claims to have sold more than 20,000 jars. Autumn Statement: State pension confirmed to rise by 8.5% from April 2024 – while some benefits will go up by 6.7%

Since being on Life mel, not only can I see a difference in his lifestyle, because now he has one, but also his temperment and ability to copy day to day. He is now up before noon, able to play with his sister, see friends and, for the first time since treatment started we were able to go out for the day to London. Albeit he got tired, but as a family we hadn't had that privalige for months.Mamdouh et al. [ 20] conducted a randomized crossover study on type I diabetic children. In the intervention period, the children were supplemented with 0.5 mL/kg/day of non-heated and non-irradiated Egyptian clover honey supplied by a beekeeper for 12 weeks. In the first period, statistically significant decreases in subscapular skinfold, FBG, post-prandial serum glucose, TC, HDL, and TG along with significant increases in fasting C-peptide and post-prandial C-peptide were observed in the intervention group compared to baseline. In the control group, no significant differences in any of the aforementioned parameters were observed. In the second period, significant reductions in midarm circumference, triceps skinfold, and fasting C-peptide were observed in the control group, while TC and LDL cholesterol increased significantly. On the contrary, significant decreases were observed in BMI, triceps skinfold, fasting serum glucose, HbA1C, total and LDL cholesterol, and TG in the intervention group. In addition, there were significant increases in fasting as well as post-prandial C-peptide and HDL. Mixture of four types of clover honey obtained from Golden Heritage Foods, Smitty Bee Honey, Millers Honey Company, and Marshall’s Farm Natural Honey Indeed, Manuka honey has been the subject of numerous studies over the past few years. It is produced by honeybees who gather nectar from the Manuka flower (sometimes called the tea tree), a plant well known for its medical properties. The active ingredients found in the Manuka flowers are then transferred to the honey produced by the bees, giving the product distinct antibacterial properties. In 1974 I started work at a kidney transplant centre, an institution with a very high patient mortality rate. Upon examination, it was found that the vast majority of patients died from secondary infections rather than the actual operation itself. This realization led me to start to develop a range of herbal formulas to help boost the immune system. However these formulas proved to be completely inedible due to their powerful ingredients. In an attempt to sweeten the medicine, I experimented by feeding the formulas to bees and giving patients the resulting honey.

As a medical student in the Soviet Union, I was required to take part in a professional medical project during summer vacations. In 1969, the summer between my fourth and fifth years of study, I was sent to work in Tashkent, an area of the country experiencing outbreaks of cholera. My job was to monitor the local community and inform the authorities of any new cases of the disease. LifeMel featured in Yoga Magazine "a unique food supplement that has been developed with over 30 years of research and has been cited in a number of cases as boosting immunity before, during and after chemotherapy."It is] certainly not sufficiently evidence-based, certainly too preliminary, certainly not based on any concrete facts or statistics that may justify any claim as to its superiority or proven benefit to the general public. Take one teaspoonful (5cc) in the morning, on an empty stomach, and one teaspoon (5cc) at night before sleep. It is recommended to sip LifeMel slowly (1-2 minutes) to ensure full absorption into the bloodstream. The dosage can be increased to a maximum of 4 teaspoons (20cc) a day. The improvement in blood profile, overall feeling, and in quality of life, will be felt after 5-10 days of treatment. There are limited clinical trials availble for Life Mel because it is new; Manuka has been used in medicine for over 30 years and both Medihoney Wound Gel and Mesitram Wound Dressings have been available on prescription since 2005. Manuka is a fabulous product but it has a different mode of action compared to Life Mel I would like to thank you for your product, Life Mel honey. This is the third time I am coping with cancer and undergoing chemotherapy. Needless to say, those treatments are very hard on the body and that their side-effects are harsh. The scientists report that anaemia lessened in 64% of the patients - as measured by levels of haemoglobin in their blood - but with no controls to compare with they can't be sure whether this was simply due to the extra attention patients were given because they were participating in a trial. In other words a placebo effect.

Honey is a remarkable substance. Containing approximately 150 biologically active ingredients, its healing properties have been known to humanity for millennia. In recent years the conventional medicinal community has started to increasingly value honey for its potent antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties - it is now being recommended to patients for the treatment of a wide range of health issues, from coughs and colds to stomach upsets and burns. Totally agree re: needing active manuka, the best I've found for my IBS is 60+UMF and like you I swear by it Martin Lewis: What the Autumn Statement means for you – including wages, benefits, pensions, ISAs, national insurance and more Brimming with antioxidants, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals, honey is a time-honored healer, celebrated in ancient texts and revered by traditional medicine systems worldwide.Pure raw untreated clover honey supplied by the Firm of Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University
