I have a living room of 6x5m and I could not get the car handled without crashing into things. Still I never reached full speed. That is very useless in terms of having fun. So I wont add that upgrade to the official instructions. Tha LEGO DeLorean also features Doc and Marty McFly LEGO minifigures and fun accessories like a hoverboard, banana and a soda can When going to full speed forward, the motor starts pushing the cars but at maybe 1/3 of max speed stops running. Thats after less then a second. It then starts working again after a second or less. Why? probably overload protection: The buwizz app provides an internal Ampere Meter and I can see the output of the motor going up to 1.5-2 Ampere - which is a lot (jigowatss joke here) - before it gets killed (non permanently). I tried to finetune the buwizz programming but it would need a really big delay (ramping), resulting in a very slow reaction of the car. No it's not only about the environment: The hub has a problem when using the powered up Large motors: It looks like the hub gets to few 'Jigowatts' - uhh I mean milli Amperes, when LEGOs L-Motors are running full speed. (Maybe it's the flux capacitor hitting in when close to 88mph?) The result: the Hub stops reacting, but keeps the motors running ... until the car finds the next wall!
