About this deal

Following a devastating injury that has left him sidelined and stripped of his beloved number 13 jersey, Johnny Kavanagh is struggling to hold onto his dreams. Lost, insecure, and desperately seeking comfort, he sets his sights on unravelling the mystery of the girl with the midnight-blue eyes, who haunts his every waking hour. This was just incredible. Chloe Walsh had me crying tears of joy, happiness and heart break. I can’t express how deeply emotive her writing is and how powerful it is to make me feel every single emotion.

Not to say Saving 6 didn’t have also good support characters like Aoife’s parents and her best friend, but after meeting the Kavanagh family, Aoife’s dysfunctional family just didn’t hit the same. I really loved Joey and Tony’s (Aoife’s dad) bromance tho that was cute. How can I not like the man, one of the few, who took a chance on Joey and gave him a job. If they look as good on you as that yellow thong you’re wearing, then I’m going to have to agree,” he replied, gesturing to the perfect view up my skirt that I had unintentionally given him. The “Because I want to put one good memory of this house in your head.” I swear I knew from the beginning she’s gonna do that. Because that’s just how she is and for some reason it got me emotional as hell! aoife cheating on the om with joey (yeah he deserved it but like why tf are you still with him??????) my heart hurts but i just know it will all be worth it in the end. seeing my bby shannon and lil glimpses of johnny and gibsie really made my day.I’m going to try do this review without spoilers, but it’ll be hard. I bloody loved this book and just want to talk about it all day.

Guys, don't throw me under the bus: at times I felt like Paul is more obsessive and possessive about Aoife than Joey. 👀 In a very toxic and wrong way, but it still counts in my book. 👀👀 SORRAY but half the times that asshole sounds more determined and devoted to Aoife than the actual hero. the OM being a two-timing hoe and all-around gross manpig who kept on pushing himself on aoife. you would think that after learning about the fact that he is a cheater and that he cannot take no for an answer, a girl would break up with the dude. maybe someone with a spine would, yeah but not this sorry doormat. she proceeds to stay with him for a good chunk of the book (apparently it's bc her dad was a cheater who had multiple affairs but her mom stayed with him. what kind of excuse is that lol? like mother like daughter it seems. if that were the dynamics bw my parents I wouldn't follow in her goddam footsteps 💀 instead I would try my damn hardest to not be a pushover like that but idk that's just me I laughed, I cried, I laughed so hard that I cried. The found family in this series is perfect. I’m obsessed with every single character. I absolutely hated Shan’s parents, absolutely loved Johnny’s and I’m so happy with that ending. It was such a huge character arc for both Shannon and Johnny and I love that they found hope with eachother. Keeping 13 had it all. Everything you could want in a perfect book that pulls you in at the start and spits you out at the end with a book hangover. Get him out of my sight!’ Dad roared, turning his attention to Mam, who was hovering slightly apart from both of them. ‘Now, Marie!’ Dad bellowed, pointing a finger at her. ‘Get him out before I do away with the little bastard.’

Devastation flooded my body, joined by deep regret. Johnny’s face a beacon of lost hope behind my closed eyelids, as I accepted the hand I had been dealt. Stop.’ A small cry tore from Ollie’s throat as he clutched Joey’s leg. ‘Make him stop,’ he sobbed, clinging to our brother like he held all the answers. ‘Please.’

Johnny Kavanagh needs to be wrapped up under my Christmas Tree this year or I’m having words with Santa. I’m not kidding this boy was something else. He went through so much and yet still showed excellent character development. I am utterly in love with every relationship this boy has, I love reading characters with personality and Chloe Walsh has clearly poured her heart and soul into every single one. I especially loved reading his interactions with the Team. I could hear the desperation in his voice, the last sparks of his faith in her fading out fast, as he implored her to hear him. Joey is seriously one of the purest souls. Now, I mean, looking at the drugs and the mask he puts on, anyone just looking at him would be thinking "what tf are you saying girl?" but TRUST ME that boy is nothing but good. Three words that should have held more meaning and importance than any other question I'd ever heard. Problem was, I knew in my heart that whatever answer was given, whatever lie she told herself, and us, the end result would be the same. Saving 6 was not like I expected it was going to be-I didn’t realize they had changed the blurb, so I went thinking it was a second-chance romance with pregnancy trope-, yet it met my very high expectations. I read this baby in two sittings and have so many highlights I could write another full-length novel with them.love how this review went from having 380+ likes to having 7 sjsjsjsjssjs. beautiful math. goodreads be loving me so, so much that i wake up to wonderous things happening every day, xoxo* My eyes landed on Aoife then and her golden hair as it blew around her face in the light summer breeze. She wasn't looking at me. Her entire focus was on my brother as she watched him like he was a precious jewel that could vanish at any moment. The chemistry, the love, everything about this book was so good it gave me all the feels . . . Beautiful book, beautiful words. Chloe Walsh you’re my home’ I only wished we had more secondary characters and that we didn’t have the hero beating innocent boys to punish the girls- yes, it happened again. I’m not saying they should go and punch the girls, but beating the brother/boyfriend for something they did not do is not the solution. We could also criticize that Joey and Aoife had more game when they were thirteen than people of my age… but let’s be honest: I highlighted every single scene. Every scene where she tells him do that or I’ll scream and he ends up doing that and he’s like FINE!

Joey : can't wait to read about him cause I love him so much and I know his story is going to break my heart but I'll ask for more and more. I know this story is about Jonathan Robert and Shannon Maud 😂 but the star that manages to bring a smile on the heavy topic is Gerard Gibson... Gussie. Keeping secrets has never been a problem for Shannon Lynch. The life she was born into demands nothing less. She knows that demons and evil men don’t just exist in fairytales. They exist in her world, too. Traumatized beyond repair after her return from Dublin, and desperate to protect her little brothers, Shannon finds herself falling into the same old cover-up, barely keeping her head above water, as her future unravels before her eyes. Beaten and broken, her walls are up and her trust is shaken. I felt a hand clamp gently down on my shoulder then, startling me, and causing me to groan in pain. ‘It’s okay,’ Tadhg whispered, keeping his hand on my shoulder. ‘I’m here.’Too worn out to think about it, I slumped in the chair, taking in everything and taking in nothing at all. It was almost like a prison sentence with no parole. The emotions in K13 are beyond amazing. I laughed so hard I had stitches. At times I cried so much that I couldn’t even read the words and had to pause. A few times I wanted to throw my e-reader across the room as I was frustrated and angry at some characters. Then at times I felt protective; I just wanted to steal the characters and wrap them up in cotton wool. I’m still thinking of stealing some. *cough* Joey Darren was her firstborn and favorite, Ollie was her sweet and affectionate baby, Tadhg was her mischievous rogue, and Shannon was her only daughter. As much as I missed all my precious side characters (one scene of Gibsie got me all over the place), Aoife and Joey were more than capable of carrying this book on their own!! I love them so freakin much.
