About this deal

Mandarin: Rodi Zhìzūn (Taiwan, 羅迪至尊 Luódí Zhìzūn, "Rodimus Prime"), Bǔ Tīan Shì (China, 补天士, "Gentleman Who Repairs the Sky") This is the closest to a realistically proportioned Hot Rod that is not repainted or retooled from another figure. It does, however, have a very similar transformation to Robots in Disguise Legion Class Sideswipe. Studio Series has been a very fun and nifty toyline making really detailed and accurate toys of characters from the 6 live action movies as well as the classic 80's animated movie. This figure is definitely a highlight of the wave for me. INCH SCALE AUTOBOT HOT ROD: Figure features vivid, movie-inspired deco, is highly articulated for posability and comes with buzz saw and spark welder hand attachments, a Matrix of Leadership with energy effect, 2 blasters and 2 blast effects accessories

It should be noted, though, that most of the Titan Master heads for the Leader Class figures are basically just larger-scaled "faces" that look incomplete without a corresponding helmet, which results in the smaller-scaled full heads of the other Titan Master figures looking rather obviously out of scale when used on a Leader Class figure. The Autobots were caught by surprise when it seemed at first that a tank and jet were about to crash into one another on the battlefield, only for them to transform together into the Decepticon Flywheels! Rodimus was unfazed by this turn of events, and pounced onto this new combatant. Duocons and Throttlebots commercial During his time as Prime, Rodimus not only had to deal with the Decepticons and their new leader, but also the political complexities of the planetary alliance Cybertron joined, the return of the Transformers' cruel masters from long ago, the Quintessons, the possible revival of Unicron and the arrival of Unicron's "little brother" Tornedron.Undocumented, and possibly unintended, the magazine of the time gun can come off, somewhat making it resemble the other blaster Hot Rod occasionally used in the film. Also, for weapons storage options in robot mode, the time gun can be holstered on his hips by plugging it into the mushroom peg hole on either thigh using the same connecting peg on the gun that stores it in vehicle mode. A (somewhat jokey) proposed BotCon concept by Fun Publications was a redeco of Deluxe Class Transmetal Rattrap into a beast form of Rodimus Prime, named "Rodimouse", to match Optimus Primal and Ultra Mammoth as being Beast Wars Maximal forms of fellow Autobot leaders Optimus Prime and Ultra Magnus, respectively. [17] [18] After surviving the Surge, All Hail Megatron and watching Optimus surrender to Skywatch, ...For All Mankind Hot Rod led a group of Autobots to make an alliance with Swindle to get off Earth, with the capitalist Decepticon buttering him up by dubbing him "Rodimus Prime". Seasons in Flight Adopting the name, Rodimus fled his bad decisions by stealing Ultra Magnus' spacecraft, hoping to redeem himself by reclaiming the stolen Matrix of Leadership from Starscream. After fighting his way through the Decepticons and reclaiming the talisman, Rodimus was blasted into space by Megatron, leading to a trip that involved the discovery of Galvatron's army-building. Heart of Darkness #4 Out of the Silent Planet Returning the Matrix and this information to Optimus, he was permanently redubbed Rodimus and joined him in facing Galvatron, Orphans of the Helix convincing Optimus that only the Matrix could undo the Heart of Darkness' contamination of Vector Sigma. Genesis STUDIO SERIES VOYAGER CLASS: Voyager Class figures are 6.5-inch collectible action figures inspired by iconic movie scenes and designed with specs and details to reflect the Transformers movie universe, now including The Transformers: The Movie!

Over the last few years, I sold most of my G1 stuff, but I intend to keep this figure. It’s solid, it’s got a really fun transformation, and it looks nice. Even if you don’t collect any G1, I still recommend it as a curiosity piece, or as a small vertical slice of “what mid-to-late G1 was like.” Of course, the real question is “how much is it worth?” To put it bluntly, with the exception of the smaller minibots, I feel like the current run of Wal-Mart exclusive G1 reissues is overpriced for what you’re getting, and you should wait for a sale, like the current run of Hot Rod reissues eventually found themselves on. I bought mine years ago, and don’t recall what I paid, but it’s something I’m never letting go of, and am happy with it. So, it’s worth getting, but keep an eye on how much you pay.He includes a collector card featuring art from the " The Colossus War" episode of Transformers Legends, which is based on his old Generation 1 body rather than his new look in the toy. The included instructions, while calling him a part of Optimus Maximus, show him attached to a control drawing of Ultra Prime instead. Due to a design flaw, it can be difficult to get Hot Rod's car roof to firmly latch into the chassis; on some specimens it is simply impossible.

This figure was available with a Hot Rod pin and Macrocosmic Seekers booklet directly from e-HOBBY, he was also released in Asian countries outside of Japan without said pin and booklet. Having won the last battle his species would ever fight, Rodimus ripped his blasters from his arms and took in the sunset with Shib, where he thanked her for being the best boss he'd ever had. Over the next few months, Rodimus worked with the citizens of Fembrance and taught them how to more efficiently harness their planet's energon supplies, allowing them to reap the benefits of faster steam cars and an electrical grid. In the meantime, Rodimus turned his attention to salvaging whatever remained of Steeljaw's ship and the stasis chambers inside. After taking custody of Steeljaw's remaining followers and imprisoning them inside, Rodimus launched his starship into orbit around Donnokt—just in case any other Cybertronians came calling—and eventually returned to stasis. Last Bot Standing #4 Power of the Primes "Evolution Rodimus Prime" consists of a Deluxe-sized Hot Rod and a trailer, which can combine with the smaller robot to form the Leader-sized Rodimus Prime. Both robot modes feature exceptional articulation, largely due to the way both robot modes transform. However, neither has a rotating waist for the same reason. This figure features minimal partsforming, with the Rodimus Prime fists being formed by attaching the two halves of the front end of the trailer to Hot Rod's knees.

Years later, Hot Rod held a fairly high rank in the Autobot army, equivalent to Prowl, and was sent on a mission to Ki-Aleta to retrieve the Magnificence which turned into a only technically-successful disaster, with himself the only apparent survivor. Spotlight: Hot Rod When he found out Dealer had also survived, he rescued him from a Decepticon prison, unaware that he was the traitor who had caused things to go so wrong. Soon after, he was called to Earth to aid Optimus Prime, but briefly returned to retrieve the Magnificence to gain information on the Expansion, during which he discovered Dealer's treachery and killed him. Spotlight: Doubledealer Spotlight: Sideswipe Thereafter, he returned to his information-gathering task on the Machination, and though was badly beaten by Scorponok, he still aided in the Decepticon's defeat. Maximum Dinobots #2 Later, Rodimus Prime remembered the Transformers' greatest battle on Earth. Rodimus Prime remembers the Transformers greatest battle on Earth. Corrupted by Megatronus, this version of Rodimus has all the brash, take-action nature of the original and none of the self-doubt. Why? Because he's no longer responsible for anything. As far as he's concerned, he's not even responsible for the atrocities he commits. After all, the universe deserves to burn. And burn it will, as he's lost none of the speed, strength, and skill of his former self.

Joining God Ginrai and Ultra Magnus in an assault on Mega Zarak, Rodimus was terrified when the mammoth Decepticon unleashed his titanic Anti-Gravity Rifle. Fortunately for the Autobots, the gun jammed and Mega Zarak was left fiddling with it while they opened fire. Anti-Gravity Rifle When the group instead flew after the Lost Light, they were forced to abandon ship, Sardines falling into the orbit of the original Mederi which Rodimus deduced was the legendary Cyberutopia. You Are Here Finding themselves caught in the plans of the mysterious Grand Architect, Rodimus managed to reclaim the Lost Light Lūstrāre before Megatron returned from the parallel universe alongside the threat the Architect had prepared for, the alternate Functionist Council whose version of Cybertron they'd turned into a planet-sized monster. The Architect then revealed himself to be Adaptus, naming the other members of the Guiding Hand, all of whom Rodimus had crossed paths with in his life. The Return of the King After Adaptus had been killed, The Unremembering Rung, the new identity of Primus himself, gave his life to produce twelve duplicates of the Matrix, allowing the Lost Light crew to overload Vector Sigma via Cybertron's hot spots, disintegrating the Functionist Council.
