The only issue we have is that the sounds are synthetic. Once the pre-recording has looped through to the end, you can hear where it stops and begins. The Hatch Rest is basically in its own category. Compared to our go-to, the Marpac Dohm Classic, the Hatch provides a wide variety of sounds. However, we personally prefer the real fan sound of the Dohm. Our favourite features? The Hatch Baby Rest comes with its own app, allowing you to control the night light remotely. This is a real plus point, meaning there is no need to sneak into your baby’s room and risk waking them with a creaky floorboard, a feature that parents love. Our favourite features? Everyone sleeps better with Hatch. The Hatch Sleep app makes it easy to get the most out of the Hatch family of products: Restore, Rest Mini, Rest, and Rest+. For me, I’d hold out for future versions of the Hatch Restore, which I anticipate will be even more practical and easier to use. But if you have the money to spend and the current features appeal to you, you may fall in love … or at least fall asleep faster.
