Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets is a convenient way to provide long-lasting relief (up to 4 hours) from acid reflux, heartburn and indigestion. Gaviscon Advance works by forming a protective barrier to help prevent stomach acid from entering the oesophagus (food pipe). Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets help give reliefof symptoms resulting from the reflux of acid, bile and pepsin into the oesophagus. Acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion occursdue to the reflux of stomach contents in the oesophagus. Chew tablets thoroughly before swallowing and wait at least 2 hours between taking any other mediation.
This medicine contains calcium (1.0 mmol per tablet dose). This medicine contains 1.01 mmol (39.43 mg) potassium per tablet. To be taken into consideration by patients with reduced kidney function or patients on a controlled potassium diet. This medicine contains 53.22 mg sodium (main component of cooking/table salt) in each tablet. This is equivalent to 2.7 % of the recommended maximum daily dietary intake of sodium for an adult).
