Whilst Samsung technology is fantastic - the main downfall of enjoying it is the price - especially when there are so many constant new releases, and most of us don’t want to be paying high amounts every time we see technology that we want. If you decide on switching to samsung refurbished phones rather than brand new, you will see a massive price difference, as refurbished samsung phones are a lot more budget friendly. Since there are so many varying phone conditions for the same model, you can also filter the product you want based on price, and get the condition and price that works for you, which makes it a lot more flexible. It has elegantly curved edges with pixels that spill over the sides, amped-up brightness for better outdoor visibility, and HDR10+ support for superior contrast and color. The other key differences between the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the S10 Plus are the battery, which is smaller at 3,400mAh vs 4,100mAh, and the selfie camera which is a single unit to the S10 Plus’ dual front shooter. The S10 also isn’t available with 1TB of internal storage, but that’s a crazy expensive phone anyway. As you might expect, gaming performance is equally impressive. In the duo of GFXBench tests at FHD+ resolution, the recorded frame rate is practically identical to that of its Huawei and Apple rivals. If you do decide to increase the screen resolution to the native QHD+, you will notice a drop, but nothing dramatic. The S10 is a great gaming phone.
And that’s before you get to the video capabilities, which is another area where the S10 Plus excels. It’s able not only to shoot stabilised footage in 4K resolution at 60fps but also capture HDR10+ clips for video with improved dynamic range and ultra slow-motion footage, as well. IP68 water and dust resistant - so it can survive in 1.5m for up to 30 minutes - which is great if you are accident prone or want to protect your phone from the elements if you spend a lot of time outside. There’s little to dislike regarding the new display – if the Infinity-O doesn’t distract day-to-day, and as mentioned we’ll update this review when we have more hands-on time with the S10. Samsung Galaxy S10: design Phew. So, how about image quality then? Well, it’s superb, especially for colour rendition. This is one of those smartphone cameras that seems to be able to capture colours as you see them – they’re not under or over-saturated, and there seems to be a good balance between noise suppression and detail missing from its main rival on the camera front, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The Snapdragon 855 chip and 8GB of RAM paired with the display and speakers make this an amazing phone for gaming. Performance is fast and seamless, with reduced lagging and prolonged performance without overheating. Games appear in high quality with clear sound quality, and the comfortable screen size is easy to hold in two hands for a long period of time. Why is it better to opt for a second hand Samsung Galaxy S10 rather than a brand new one?
Possibly the best bit about the Samsung Galaxy S10 though is its size. As we've already mentioned, it measures 149.9 x 70.4 x 7.8mm, and considering the size of the screen is nestles surprisingly well in the palm. Sure, LG phones have touted ultra-wide camera lenses for years, like the LG V40, but Samsung’s cameras have been more consistent in low-light conditions. The feature is finally in a flagship-level phone you want.
The Galaxy S10’s revamped design is perhaps its most noticeable change. You won’t struggle to tell this phone apart from its predecessor this time around: the Galaxy S10’s chassis is now surrounded by an iPhone Xs-like silver-tinted trim. It looks just as swish, in fact, and even the chin and forehead bezels have been completely removed. A 3400mAh battery with amazing lasting power and fast and wireless charging, so you have practical charging and spend less time waiting around for your phone to charge.Shadowgun Legends is more demanding, so the median frame rate is slightly lower, but with the resolution and detail levels cranked all the way up, the S10 Plus still delivered a median frame rate of 33fps. And the fact that the bottom bezel is larger than the top one catches our eye – it may be more distracting than the punch-hole. Wireless power share enables the S10 to turn into a charger by simply being plugged in - so you can charge your wireless headphones and charge a friends phone at the same time as you charge your own.
As with most modern smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has a lot of cameras – five, to be precise, with three on the rear and two on the front.

Samsung’s screens are so good "our competitors are even using them", Samsung brand manager Paul Guzek told TechRadar, an all-too-obvious dig at Apple. It's hard to disagree. There's a hitch or two in Samsung's masterplan to get everyone to upgrade to this particular handset. The Samsung S10 launch price was expensive, more so than the Galaxy S9, although it's markedly better value than the iPhone XS, which was more expensive and has a smaller 5.8-inch screen. The Galaxy S10 also does a better job at levelling out exposure, with the Huawei P30’s automatic shooting mode generally overexposing images a bit too much. The HDR mode also does a fantastic job of lifting up the shadows and softening brighter areas of the image.
