Adhikari, Sumit (2022-03-23). "Galaxy A12 Was The Best-Selling Smartphone Globally In 2021". Android Headlines . Retrieved 2023-04-07. Network : The bandwidths supported by the device may vary depending on the region or service provider.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 is an Android smartphone manufactured by Samsung Electronics. This phone was announced in November 2020 as a successor to the Samsung Galaxy A11. [2] The phone has a quad-camera setup with a 48 MP main camera and a 6.5in (170mm) HD+ Infinity-V display. [3] The Li-Po battery has 5000 mAh. It shipped with Android 10, which can be updated to Android 12. S Pen Pro and S Pen Fold Edition sold separately. Only use the Samsung S Pen Pro or the S Pen Fold Edition designed exclusively for Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. All other S Pens or stylus pens not designed for Galaxy Z Fold3 5G (including those by other manufacturers) may damage the screen. Battery - Actual battery life varies by network environment, features and apps used, frequency of calls and messages, number of times charged, and many other factors. The phone's performance is smooth and responsive, allowing for easy multitasking and app switching. The MediaTek Helio P35 chipset is capable of handling most everyday tasks, including browsing the web, streaming videos, and playing games. However, it may struggle with more demanding apps and games. Connectivity and Other Features: Protect what matters to youMemory: RAM and internal memory capacity may vary by country. MicroSD card sold separately. Actual storage available may vary depending on pre-installed software. refresh rate, IPS LCD 720 × 1600, 6.5in (170mm), 20:9 ratio, ~85.8% screen-to-body ratio, ~270 ppi density As you might guess from the narrow aperture and the low price of entry, photography on the Galaxy A12 is a mixed bag. In bright conditions, photos are quite good, with a decent composition and enough detail to be worthwhile. Yes, you can certainly do better by spending more money, but the pictures are clear enough for sharing, and you can get good results in the right conditions. On 9 August 2021 a new variant of the phone called the Samsung Galaxy A12 Nacho was announced. This variant of the phone is powered by Samsung's in-house Exynos 850 [8] SoC with octa-core CPU and 8 nm process instead of the previous MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, in addition to the Android version being updated to version 11. [9] [10] Aside from these differences, both the Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A12 Nacho have very similar specifications, where the Nacho variant supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi protocols, whilst the prior model supported only 2.4Ghz. [11] These gut impressions are confirmed by the benchmarks. As you can see in the graph below, Geekbench 5 has it performing quite a bit worse than all the rivals I highlighted in the beginning, but it’s an especially poor performer compared to the three Chinese branded handsets – two of which use a superior MediaTek chip.

You also shouldn’t expect miracles of composition as soon as the light levels drop. As these pictures of my garden at sunset show, as soon as the light goes, so does the image quality, with plenty of noise and blur replacing the crisp detail of the daylight shots. This is a problem that all phone cameras face, to be clear, and the Samsung Galaxy A12 isn’t the worst offender by a long shot. B1 (2100) , B3 (1800) , B5 (850) , B7 (2600) , B8 (900) , B20 (800) , B28b (700) , B28a (700) , B38 (TDD 2600) , B40 (TDD 2300) , B41 (TDD 2500) The Samsung Galaxy A12 captures video at 30fps in 1080p or 720p – there’s no 60fps option for either and, clearly from the footage I captured, no attempt at stabilisation either. Video of me walking through a park was just too bumpy to be usable, and swift pans also temporarily turned the footage into a blur fest. In short, this isn’t one for wannabe filmmakers. Samsung Galaxy A12 review: VerdictThis basic performance is mirrored in the graphical tests with GFXBench, where the Samsung Galaxy A12 managed a paltry 19fps in the native 720p resolution, and just 12fps when output to 1080p. Given the Realme 7 and Poco X3 NFC manage around four times the frames at that resolution, I think we can say that’s simply not good enough for the price. The Redmi Note 9T is sadly missing here as GFXBench refused to run, but it would be surprising if it ran worse, given its Geekbench 5 score. Battery capacity(mAh, Typical) - Typical value tested under third-party laboratory condition. Typical value is the estimated average value considering the deviation in battery capacity among the battery samples tested under IEC 61960 standard. Rated capacity is 5,000 mAh. Actual battery life may vary depending on network environment, usage patterns and other factors.
