About this deal

Unlike many cheap coffee makers, this model features boil-dry protection, which automatically turns off the power if it senses there isn’t enough water. Out of the box I noticed several abrasions on the top surface. I should have paid close attention in case this was a USED item. The box was taped up kinda funny also. I ran water alone first to hopefully clean out any release agents from moulding. Water pretty much started passing through seconds after pressing the ON button.

This compact battery-powered coffee maker is probably easier to use than your regular home coffee brewer or related products. When I consider other options, a camp-stove, small pot and an Aeropress cost less, makes a full mug of coffee, is much cleaner overall, while still offering the portability and "cordless" flexibility...not to mention, it's faster overall. The great part is that this coffee maker has swappable batteries, and the batteries are compatible with both of Makita’s 12V CXT and 18V LXT lithium-ion platforms. The Makita DCM501Z 18V LXT/ 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Coffee Maker has a small and compact design.

The Makita DCM501Z coffee maker is a compact and portable device that allows users to enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee wherever they go. It is designed with convenience in mind, making it an ideal choice for camping trips, outdoor adventures, or even for use in small kitchens. The Makita DCM501Z is a powerful little cordless coffee maker that’s perfect to take anywhere you go.

The DCM501Z 18V LXT/ 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Coffee Machine is designed to avoid messy drips. Too small for the crew: It’s ideal for 1-2 people, but you’ll only get a maximum of three cups of coffee out of it. Forget about multiple 5 oz cups of coffee if that’s what you’re used to drinking. Boil dry protection function prevents the machine from burning out: If water empties and temperature inside increases, the sensor will turn off power supply automatically. Featuring a sleek and ergonomic design, this coffee maker is lightweight and easy to carry. It measures approximately 24.7 centimeters in height, 16.4 centimeters in width, and 29.8 centimeters in depth, making it a compact and space-saving option. You also get the pod holder, which is apparently compatible with Senseo coffee pods. this might be worth investigating, but being in Canada, these are about as common as hens teeth. Comes with a dedicated coffee cup as standard and perfectly fits with the unit. The cup also comes with a lid that allows coffee to drip in whilst keep the coffee warm and dust out. So experiment with a few options to find the best depending on your taste in coffee. What does Makita LXT stand for? You don’t need any paper filter or any other related disposable products to use with ground coffee, which you may forget on the way.

Swappable batteries:Expands your battery-powered coffee maker’s life expectancy and makes it easy to prepare more a cup of coffee in 5 minutes without an electrical outlet. Whether you’re camping in the woods, setting up construction in the middle of nowhere, or simply not wanting to miss the sunrise in your garden, it’s one of those must-have products you don’t know you’ve been missing, yet. But the 12V max CXT and 18V LXT batteries are removable and fairly standard, so you can extend your coffee maker’s life span quite a lot. Accessories/Extra Items Makita doesn’t sell extra coffee cups as separate items, so you’ll need to experiment to find one that fits well.

Terms & Conditions

Compatible with 60mm cafe pods as well as ground coffee (not compatible with Dolce Gusto or Tassimo) Plus, with the fast charging capabilities of the 18-volt LXT and 12-volt CXT lithium-ion batteries, you don’t need to wait too long until this product is ready for the next round. This is above the standard for multiple coffee makers, and it shows how much Makita trusts this machine. Should You Buy It?
