In Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic comic series, Revan can be seen during the Mandalorian Wars, wielding a violet lightsaber and known as "the Revanchist". The 42nd issue explains how Revan came to wear his iconic mask. It belonged to a Mandalorian who tried to stop his superior from slaughtering defenseless Cathar, and then perished with them. After seeing a vision of the massacre, Revan vowed to wear the mask until the Mandalorians were defeated. [5]
