About this deal

If you've read any of this woman's supernatural romance, then you know how this book reads. I lost count how many times she used the word velvet. I'm really not a romance reader, so by the end of the book I was skipping the sex scenes skimming the repetitive bits about how perfect they were for each other, yadda yadda yadda, and was trying to finish reading the bits with some actual plot in it. The Dark Mage is restricted to hovering a bit above the ground. It cannot fly upwards, though the skeletons it summons can. Gregori has found his lifemate. She is Savannah, daughter to his best friend, Mikhail. She is a magician who has left the Carpathian Mountains of Romania to seek her independence. Gregori had come to her when she was 18, but she was not ready to be with him. She begged him for time and he gave her 5 years. These years have been very difficult for him. So difficult, that when they are finally reunited, he is almost more beast than man. He spirits her away to his lair and "claims" her. Savannah is very attracted to Gregori, but the act between them is far from gentle. She thinks him a monster, until she allows herself to use the telepathy of her people and see inside his mind. I liked Savannah. She was independent, intelligent, but also loving. She fought the lifemate bond initially, but then she came to realize that she was just as compelled to love Gregori, and she helped him get over his guilt about 'manipulating their connection' while she was in the womb. I really liked the communication Gregori had with Savannah when he saved her and her mother Raven's life. It made me want to read their book.

Offering spells convert up to three sets of remains to prayer points, granting three times the normal experience of burying or scattering remains. They take the same amount of time as offering three remains at an altar in a player-owned house chapel. As we speak, I’m working with two demons, Mammon and Astaroth. One is providing me with financial aid, the other with knowledge of “liberal sciences”. In other words, I wish to amass wealth and learn as much as possible, and these demons are in the job of supplying me with the power and advice for accomplishing both tasks to the best of my abilities.Gregori would just put Savannah into a deep sleep whenever she refused to do his bidding. I found this very disrespectful and annoying at first. Then it just became comical that the hero would be so arrogant and dismissive of his life mate.

I love you, Gregori," she whispered softly against his throat. "I really love you. The real you. Do you understand?"-Savannah Commander Fullore. Old School RuneScape. "It was under [the Council] that trade with your lands to the east was established. Without those trade routes, you would have no easy way of getting here."

Brian S Pratt Books Overview

The writing was inconsistent, and I can't understand why the white robed mage decided to just... Pray to her god? Instead of actually casting spells? The spellcasting in this book was inconsistent with how magic works in the Dragonlance world too, and in general didn't seem to follow... any rules at all? It was vague in the "he waved his hand and people died" kind of way which was neither interesting nor accurate.
