The IO-6 can be used in 3 ways: Wireless via Bluetooth, wired via the 3.5mm cable to an analog headphone amp, and wired via USB. Of those modes, via the 3.5mm cable can be done with the power off if the battery is low. With or without the power on, an analog source requires a volume control, as it disables the built-in control. Via USB, input up to 24/96 is accepted.

DALI may not be as well-known as the likes of Bose or Sony, but the Danish company has been building high-quality speakers for years. There’s no dedicated app for tweaking this and that, but we don’t feel the need for it. Dali is famous for its speakers, and it's the custom 50mm paper fibre cone driver and over-ear enclosure (braced and stiff like a speaker cabinet with rubber dampeners inside to eliminate vibrations) that are the real stars here. At a radical budget price, iFi delivers its "Zen DAC", which is both incredibly versatile and clever. It certainly made us meditate on questions of audiophile proportionality.

Selten aber kommt schon einmal vor, 3 mal in Folge, was dazu führt das der Kopfhörer sich in Standby versetzt. Nur noch ein Aus/Ein hilft hier weiter. However, for those who do wish to pair their Dali headphones with multiple devices, one would need to disconnect from the current paired device before the new device can take over. Comfort wise, these are very comfortable to wear. However, I have pretty large ears so the round cups don't make a complete seal so once in a while I find myself adjusting them here and there on the ear. I don't have that issue with my Beyerdynamic DT150's, but those are a different shape - it's not the headphones fault I have big ears. I'm sure the pads will bed in nicely and should become a better fit over time. I wear glasses, so when I take my glasses off the cups somehow make a slightly better seal, therefore the low frequency improves very slightly. Even with my glasses on, it's still good enough. The DALI IO-6 feels very solid and well-built. Also, the earpads are quite comfortable, though they do clamp on my head pretty tightly; I assume that’s to make a good seal. At first, I thought the round earpads might not be large enough to encompass my ears, but they fit just fine.We try the similarly-priced third-generation Sennheiser Momentum Wireless headphones as a comparison, and the Dalis are lighter on our head and cooler on our ears. For sound, the Dali iO-6s dig up more detail, with vocals and strings especially feeling more human, transparent and unadulterated. Sound Quality...volume, clarity, detail, soundstage (for closed cans) - all of it is excellent, lows, mids highs. Ooosh NC funktioniert und bringt deutliche Verbesserungen bei Umgebungsgeräuschen. Wer viel reist, sollte sie auf alle Fälle nehmen (Dali i0-6), sonst geht es auch ohne (Dali i0-4). Wenn man NC ausgeschalten lässt, verlängert sich die Akkulaufzeit deutlich. Die Laufzeit ohne NC beträgt bis zu 60h. Das ist ein sehr guter Wert. Rather interestingly there seems to be a slight tonal shift whilst listening wired with the iO-6 on, and off. With it off, the iO-6 the upper mids seem to have a little bit more bloom. This isn’t something I expect as I would have thought all internal DSP would be bypassed. To mark this anniversary, the company from Lower Saxony, Northern Germany, presented the HD 560S, an affordable open pair of headphones with high quality standards. The noise cancellation tech on the headphones is good, but not incredible. If you’re truly focused on noise cancellation, it’s probably worth considering headphones from Sony or Bose instead, but these are fine at cutting out some noise. Performance Controls are situated on the right earpad. The central surface is a button for play/pause while the top and bottom sections are individual buttons for volume up and down.

Ultimately, the best thing about the DALI iO-6 headphones is their sound-quality. These are great-sounding headphones that offer a relatively flat frequency response and plenty of detail.
