The journalist has the cheek to pop up at his house, while he’s having dinner, and offer to do an expose, and cut him a 50-50 deal from whatever he makes. Apparently, Mr. Journalist did his research and has put together details of at least 4 cases that Alex is involved in, and whichever way you put it, what he plans to do would permanently destroy Alex’s chances of being a normal teenage boy.
