About this deal

The participants gather knowledge and eliminate options by using logical reasoning. In their detective notebooks, they cross off hints as they develop educated assumptions about the remaining cards. Until a player feels secure enough to level an allegation, the game continues. We believe ads on games can be too intrusive, if we ever include ads into our experiences they will be out of the way and not interrupt your gameplay. This app does not contain any ads and never will! IMPORTANT* This app is NOT a game, please don't buy thinking this is a game. This is the detective notes only, to be used with the board game. If you have multiple notation groups that don’t overlap, that can sometimes provide enough information to be able to eliminate all other cells in the column with certainty. Clue player might have this clue item. Player answered to accusation number 3 with one of three clue card.

The Clue Game is an immersive experience that enthralls players of all ages with its intriguing gameplay, intricate storyline, and strategic decision-making. What is the story behind Clue Game?Being a massive fan of the Cluedo / Clue board game, and have been all my life, I have developed an app which you can use when playing the game instead of getting a notepad and pen for everytime you play. Also, as any fan will know, that not all of the boards are the same, there are boards where there are more rooms, characters and weapons. We've sharpened those pencils. We've run out of paper. We've wished upon stars for an electronic version to materialize. When it didn't, we made one. The picture on the left shows that an accusation was made with the following clue elements: Clue Suspect Professor Plum, Clue weapon Knife and Clue room Kitchen. The question marks and the numbers under column " A" means that clue player " A" shown one of the three card of the accusation. I choose those three card to illustrate that we can already figure out that clue player "A" was holding the clue weapon card "Knife" since we already have the clue room card "Kitchen" and the clue suspect card "Professor Plum" in our hands. Let's make a more complicated example to show how you will get an edge on the other player around the clue game board.

As players choose when to provide advice, where to move on the board, and when to level accusations, the game encourages strategic thinking. It adds a social interaction and psychological gaming aspect by encouraging players to be watchful and pay attention to the motions and recommendations of others. I've included a pdf that you can just print, but I've also included an ods file which you can load and edit in most spreadsheet programs (I recommend the free LibreOffice).

During World War II, British musician Anthony E. Pratt invented The Clue Game. Pratt created a game that allowed players to assume the roles of investigators and solve a fake crime after being inspired by detective books and murder mystery events. The game was created in 1947 and sold by the British business Waddingtons. It was initially known as "Murder!" and then changed to "Cluedo" (a combination of "clue" and "ludo," which means "I play" in Latin). You know the game, you know the characters (Miss Scarlett, Colonel Mustard,...) but do you really know their stories?

Due to its fun and exciting gameplay, also the thrill of discovering a mystery, The Clue Game has lasted the test of time. With each game providing a different experience due to the random distribution of the cards, its continuing appeal comes in the difficulty of determining the ideal mix of suspects, weapons, and rooms. Clue memory refresher, remember those detective notes... this post is kind of an introduction to this old time classic board game. We were playing clue and my wife suggested that maybe we should be recording every suggestion that is made and I thought, hmm, maybe. So I sketched out a rough idea and then I started researching what others had done. I came across Travis Gerhardt's Clue Sheets and they looked rather similar to my idea. And while I liked some of his ideas, I still preferred some of mine so I came up with my own.

Have you ever been at a party playing Clue with your friends, and wished you didn't have to mess with those silly pencils that are never sharp enough to use? Or have you discovered that your "Detective Notes" pad is down to the last two sheets which you have to split among four players? Ever thought to yourself, "Gee, I could really help the environment by not using that piece of paper in the first place." or, "Oh how I wish there was some way to do this on my phone!" Clue is a family friendly board game, great to play on holidays and for game nights. It appeals to crowds who like mystery novels and detective stories which were my favorite reads growing up. The Clue Game helps you develop a number of critical abilities. First of all, players improve their deductive abilities as they carefully examine the data obtained from recommendations and cross off potential outcomes from their notebooks. Since players must connect the dots between the clues and apply deductive reasoning to get the solution, critical thinking, and logical reasoning skills are also fostered.
