About this deal

In the dry down the musk becomes more and more prominent – and with the musk I notice a heavy plasticy smell. I mean really heavy! And the biggest difference? Cloud has considerably less band aid smell compared to BR540 so if you dislike BR540 because of that, give Cloud a try. If you do a wrist test, with each scent on each wrist and compare them, yes you can tell the difference. BR540 is far more complicated and has some better quality ingredients. The sillage and longevity are also very different - Cloud doesn't announce its presence before you enter a room, it actually sits pretty close to you but the longevity on me is rather impressive, I can smell it on my wrist the following day until I take a shower. BR540 on the other hand is loud, you will not miss a person wearing it in the same room. I do not want to fill a room ever, I think that's not attractive and I want people only to be able to smell my perfume if they're standing close. So for that reason alone I'd choose Cloud. People looking for leaving a big trail behind them will not be happy with what Cloud offers. I bought this one when I first started watching fragrance youtube. I had just ran out of TF Noir Extreme and wanted to replace it with some other groundbreaking "signature". This is what all the youtubers said to buy. I was in choice overload with fragrances, so I listened to yt. FIELD REPORT: I tested this for 5-6 days before the pandemic got severe and got FAR MORE positive comments and compliments in the city than with BR540, mostly from 25-35 year old guys. Long-story short: It's a more gourmand, sugary version of BR540. There is an uncanny resemblance. 'Cloud' leans a little on the synthetic side, but it's not bitter, cloying or offensive. Actually it's rather seductive.

Found a 30ml at a discounter's so decided to give it a shot: I've of course smelled it before, as I've left my house at least a handful of times over the past few years, but never worn it myself.i’m still not sure if when i’ve claimed i smelled “lactonic” it’s actually lactonic? i think of a glass of milk (which is not very pleasant to me), skin of a person who hasn’t showered for a while- pheromones, creamy to the point your mouth waters. but this is not what the fragrance gives on me. Step into a world of joy and positivity with Ariana Grande's Cloud Eau de Parfum. This uplifting fragrance is the perfect way to express your love and appreciation to your friends, family, or special someone. After giving it a try for a few weeks, it grew on me- and I'd catch a whiff of the dry-down a couple hours later, and it smelled amazing. I think this is the orchid coming through and the sweet praline/cream's dry down effect. Almost like a lightly floral cashmere smell. I thought this must be the hype! It didn't last long for me (or I'm anosmic to it). Some might find it juvenile, not adequate for people who prefer more mature/sophisticated scents. ( I personally can see people from 15-28 wearing it, although for me fragrance has no age)

In my country of origin, ALL public hospitals smell exactly like this. It makes me project creepy images of operating rooms and sterile surgical instruments. Anyways, moving to the real deal I remember testing it on paper a few years ago and being unable to smell anything so I kinda just wrote it off. Now I have the small version and now that I've finally tried it on skin I'm happy to say that it is a nice scent. The notes that shine brighter on me are lavender, pear and marshmallow. The oppening is when the lavender shines more and I'm glad it's there even though I'm not a lavender lover because it gives more dimention and helps balancing out the sweetness. The marshmallow and pear is what stays when it dries down, which is cute but I guess that's were some people get the platic-like smell. (I personally don't smell it) At first I couldn't smell it at all- and I was confused. I wondered if I had anosmia for this scent. It's possible, since most people list it as distinct with long sillage. I can't really smell this one unless I'm putting 5-10 spritzes on- so when I wear it I go heavy, and reapply in 2-3 hours. It fades off softly I suppose, but that's probably where it smells best - at the end of its course where you can hardly smell it. I find Cloud to be a strange one. I know most, if not all teen scents pursue some image of fantasy and artifice, and it's not supposed to be "natural." But the combination of these notes, or perhaps whatever praline mixture was chosen for this, just makes it more random than groundbreaking. DOWNSIDE: Performance is not that great. Don't expect serious silage or longevity. Although most reviewers experienced great performance. So, unless you have both on each wrist to compare, I don't think you can spot that big of a difference, and of course, one is a monster while the other is fairly tame.

i expected it to be this original creamy sweet coconut however it’s more of an Y2K, fruity scent with a tiiiiiiny hint of shredded coconut. i can’t smell the praline nor the cream. if i want the creamy sweet coconut scent i always have to pair it with something else. and it’s not only on myself, it’s the same when others wear it too. Ariana Grande's 2018 eau de parfum Cloud is one of those fragrances that carries much of its olfactory character in its name. Cloud, for example, promises a light-as-a-cloud, dreamy, airy, cotton-sweet fluffiness. Many perfume connoisseurs are positively surprised by the celebrity fragrance - it seems neither too intrusive nor too mainstream, despite its sweetness. Those who like to smell sweetly feminine without coming across as taciturn and pushy will most likely be drawn to this fragrance. Gourmand coconut sweetness, creamy woodiness I already did a rather long review on BR540, which I'm not a fan of but I really love this one. But it took a while. I'm going to try to explain the main difference here, because they are very much alike, but at the same time very different for one big reason. I'd also want to touch on the subject of fragrance snobbery because these two have definitely ruffled some feathers when people compare mainstream to niche - but that would fill up a book. So perhaps that will be for another time. It is sweet and warm. Amber most definitely. Cosy and sexy. It is a little synthetic but not too headachey. Not a rich as BR. The inital top notes are flowery, soapy and sweet. It almost immediately warms with your skin and then its sugary, creamy and sweet. Like caramel and walnut whip. The base is sugary, musky with warm wood vibes like sandalwood and I tend to get more coconut as a base than as a top note. There is a soapy note that runs throughout which makes it smell more artificial I think. Possibly the lavender note which I could see some people finding it headachey. Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.From memory this is reminiscent of BR540 and you do sometimes get what you pay for (and I can't afford BR!😂). The fact it has that vibe perplexes me because the notes are entirely different. I love the smell of this. I suit musky fragrances so on my skin, this works. Actually Cloud was in my wish list for a while because of the hype and the notes as I am a huge gourmand lover.. I was so surprised that I didn't get that creamy sweetness which everybody is describing.
