YEAR PROTECTION Stormdry’s cream-based formulation allows it to Penetrate Deeply forming an invisible Water Repellent barrier in a Single Coat Application Stormdry has produced test results and literature claiming that wet walls are colder walls, and once treated with Stormdry, consumers may see a reduction in their energy usage as their walls will be warmer. Can be painted over with a specialist silicate-based masonry paint (such as Seciltek & Earthborn paints) once the Masonry Cream has sufficiently cured (7 days recommended). Coverage rate– On our north-facing wall (on a 1980s house), Stormdry covered 4.3 metres per litre when we applied it by brush.

Ease of application– We found Stormdry very easy to apply; it was like mayonnaise and adhered to the brush and wall very well and didn’t drip much. We first brushed off any loose dust and then applied the cream using narrow brushes around the window frames and wider brushes on the rest of the wall. We see no reason why the user couldn’t use a roller, but we chose brushes so we could dab the cream into the small indentations and crevices on the wall.This highly effective damproofing system will also provide a highly effective additional barrier to flooding as part of any existing flood protection system. Microshield Ultra is a high performance water repellent which has been tried and tested for over 10 years in the market. The result of which gives you complete confidence in the product when comparing with various other creams. How many coats of Microshield Ultra do I need to apply? Can be used on softwood,such as pine. Its penetration is not as good as on Masonry but it does work as a water repellent. Not recommended for hardwood, such as oak, teak & mahogany.
