About this deal

The Talking Clues are absent in this episode, despite Polka Dots appearing in this episode, so Joe draws the clues in his notebook instead. Danielle Brown, a relative of Content Consultant Laura G. Brown, Ph.D., was one of Joe's Friends in this episode. In the credits, none of the usual characters are present. Instead, there were one-time only animations.

The usual Blue's Clues instrumentals are replaced with a different kind of music to go along with the quiet version of the Blue's Clues song. There was no "Blue Skidoo" segment in this episode, due to the fact that skidooing wasn't featured at all in this episode. The lyrics to the So Long Song have slightly changed in this episode, "But we'll sing just one more song" has changed to "So we'll sing this goodbye song", "Thanks for doing your part" has changed to "Thanks for coming tonight", "You sure are smart" has changed to "You sure are bright".Joe was given a special pillow Notebook for this episode, but when he drew the clues, he was seen using his regular notebook. Unlike other episodes, when Joe went to Sidetable Drawer to get his notebook, the regular ending music of We Are Looking for Blue's Clues for when Steve goes to get his notebook from Sidetable Drawer is played instead of the usual jungle music for when Joe goes to find the clues. It will happen again in " Look Carefully...". Furthermore, Blue also took out the pillow notebook replaced by the regular version of the notebook in the theme song, as usual. This is the first episode that does not show Blue playing with her rubber ball at the end of the credits before the book closes. This is the last produced episode where the pawprint is still shown on the third clue after Steve draws it.

This is the second episode in the series to have rare bonus scenes that are hardly seen, the first was Blue's Birthday, where the bonus scenes are shown in the VHS version. After Joe drew the third clue in his thinking chair, he realized he was already sitting in the thinking chair. The Mailtime barbershop quartet singing is the same as the other episodes, but it has a quieter nighttime arrangement rather than the regular arrangement. When Steve and Blue skidooed into space, Earth made a complete spin. So when they returned, it should not have still been the same night; however, it was. In the U.K. version, the moon appears a fifth time with her first quote, due to part of the music being used again. As usual, the U.K. doesn’t like to use the unusual short credit lengths.Joe sang the Blue's Clues Theme Song, the Mailtime Song and the goodbye Song in his yawn and whisper voice from Blue's Big Pajama Party replaced by his normal voice, since Sidetable wasn't asleep. The Sleeping Bag was purple with white spots. In the original, it was colored blue with light blue spots Alexander Claffy, the voice of Purple Kangaroo, and Danielle Gonzalez, relative of Animator Dayna Gonzalez are both friends of Steve in this episode.

The second is Blue's Big Musical, which had the credits in front of the red curtains written up in cardboard text. This is the first episode in the reboot to take place at night and this is also the first time the theme song had a variant. The variant is that when the song is halfway through, the sky turns from sky blue to sunset purple.Blue's Big Beat Band" • " Hide and Seek with Blue" • " Blue's Treasure Hunt" • " Welcome to Blue's Bistro" • " Blue's Big Baking Show" • " Blue's Night Before Christmas" • " Sleepy Singalong with Blue" • " Blue's Big Dance Party" • " Blue's Big Imagination" • " What I Like About Blue" • " Blue's Show and Tell Surprise" • " Blue's Rainy Day Rainbow" • " Spring is Here!" • " Blue's Big Neighborhood Adventure" • " Blue's Beach Bonanza" • " Blue's Anywhere Box Surprise" • " Mystery of the Missing Pies" • " Blue Makes a Movie with You!"• " It's Your Birthday!" • " Blue's Big Costume Parade" In the original, Steve sang the "So Long Song" all by himself without Blue with him, but in the remake, Josh sang the “So Long Song” while Blue and the other characters were with him. Steve didn't play the guitar in the original, Josh does in the reboot. In the original, when Steve was following the light coming from the lamp used as the 2nd clue, Shovel and Pail stayed with the bat. In the remake, Shovel and Pail left before Josh did.
