About this deal

You can maybe in the long and lively development sometimes detect some separate notes for a short time like the dark chocolate, the incense, the orchid, the vanilla, the amber... But you are literarlly blown away by this concentrated mass attact of awesome perfume power. Smell and awe. Incense, dark chocolate, orchid, vanilla, amber and gardenia are the most pronounced notes for me. I own and wear the EDT, the parfum, and the EDP. If I was to do a brief side by side comparison of all three this would be my conclusion; When they say it projects and lasts they weren’t wrong! Needs a new scale that goes beyond enormous and eternal hahaha. In theory it should be too much, but it’s not, and this is a testament to just how beautifully this is put together. Even the weighty gold bottle conveys pure opulence and luxury when you hold it in your hand. And it does, indeed. I gave it like 5 tries, waited for it to settle down, wearing it with leather, right after a shower, spraying it on the clothes, instead of skin. No, guys, it makes me want to vomit. It's bad. Epically bad.

On clean skin, spray once or twice on desired areas. Do not rub the fragrance on skin. This will alter how the fragrance develops. Ingredients I compared the two of them side by side (one tiny spritz on each wrist) earlier this morning, and it was immediately apparent that the Parfum was behaving better. It's rounder, creamier and more chocolatey, it wants to seduce you. Enter the BO Parfum. First wow is for the bottle, shiny golden screaming for a Hollywood star vanity. For women, any age can wear this. For men, this is an ADULT fragrance. A confident, secure MAN that knows how to approach and talk to women without coming off as a creep or a dudebro can wear this. This smells like seduction (not sex, learn the difference). As a whole, this is a dark, alluring perfume designed for sophisticated, elegant, and attractive 35+ women who know what they want. Although its notes may evoke a heavy and strong scent, as a whole, it is never an overpowering or nauseating fragrance. Not for the faint of heart, thats's for sure! It wouldn't be the right choice for those who don't like to draw attention and prefer the conventional.

In the base notes I can smell a deep and rich dark chocolate note, a very earthy patchouli, a smoky incense note, a deep and resinous amber note and a whole lot of sandalwood and vetiver. This all makes this a very deep, dark, slightly sweet, gourmand and resinous blend that I just find much too much for my olfactory senses. I could have especially done without the patchouli and the heavy helping of amber. Finally, for the next few hours I can detect a vanillic boozy note- it's not overpowering since the earthy chocolate and fruit are still there, but it adds a nice "come sniff me again and again" aspect to the fragrance. No mint or menthol in this for me whatsoever. I get dead wood and smoke initially, then the smokiness disappears into overripe (nearly rotten in hot sun) berries, then a touch of that smoke again with syrupy chocolate and vanilla.

The smokey notes in the base notes really come out in the dry down, giving it that sensual close to the skin type of smell, and because of that distinct scent I can understand why some say its sex in a bottle; it just is. I made the mistake of only smelling this on a tester strip before buying it. It smelled much earthier on paper versus the original eau de parfum version, but on my skin the two are extremely similar, the parfum not really earthier at all.But it's a unique concoction and was very original at its launch date (it has been copied several times since then). There is something utterly captivating about this perfume. That being said I really just don't like it. It is very masculine (something I'm beginning to associate with this house) and just not something I can see people smelling on me and complimenting. On the contrary I'm sure the stench would scare them all away. There are just some perfumes that really take a person who can appreciate the nuances of perfumes to enjoy, and this is one of them.
