Specifically, just like the case of the Deco family, such as the Deco XE75, the Archer AXE75 puts QoS, Parental Control, and online Protection as part of its Homeshield suite. If you like what the Archer AXE75 does in terms of wireless capacity but think you’ll benefit from mesh expansion, the Deco XE75 should be your next stop. With nearly identical hardware inside, the Deco XE75 has much the same wireless speeds and reliability as the Archer with the ability to expand it with any Deco nodes. One thing to keep in mind is that the Deco software is simplified compared to Archer so you’ll lose access to some of the advanced settings, but you’ll keep the most important thing, the Wi-Fi 6E speeds. How to use PPTP VPN to access your home network through the Wi-Fi Routers (new logo) 06-27-2022 711758

Testing the Archer AXE75: Acceptable Performance

Except in the far-congested testing, performance on the 2.4 GHz band was decent. At the same time, if you’re shelling out the money for a WiFi 6E router right now, you’re probably less concerned with the 2.4 GHz band. Bottom Line But, at the least, TP-Link has kept some part of its promises, an improvement compared to the hardware it announced in early 2021, which all became vaporware. There's hope that the company will ship more products before the year-end.

Use of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and features including OFDMA, 1024-QAM, or HE160 require clients to also support the corresponding features.160 MHz bandwidth may be unavailable on the 5 GHz band in some regions/countries due to regulatory restrictions. Clearly, without a Multi-Gig port, you can only expect the ARcher AXE75 to deliver sub-Gigabit connection speeds at best. At 6-GHz, the band you can only get on WiFi 6E devices, the Archer AXE75 provided mediocre throughput and latency that was about the same as its 5-GHz speeds. So the best use of this band on this router is to reserve it for your one flagship device, perhaps your gaming PC, to make sure it has no competition for signal. The heat maps show that the Archer AXE75 was able to provide a relatively strong 2.4GHz signal throughout our test house, but the signal became weaker in parts of the garage. The router’s 5GHz band also weakened in the garage but showed slightly better range. The TP-Link Archer AXE75 is a cheap Wi-Fi 6E router but when it comes to actual performance, it feels as nice to use as routers that cost twice as much. It has plenty of speed at both 5GHz and 6GHz so you don’t need to give up any capacity to make the most of 160MHz devices using the latest version of Wi-Fi or devices using Wi-Fi 6 or Wi-Fi 5 with 160MHz. This sensible layout makes it one of the best Wi-Fi 6E routers available right now. TP-Link’s software is easy to use and offers advanced customization for those that want it without complicating the software for those that don’t. The Netgear RAXE500 beat them all with 70MBps. On the read test, the AXE75 (46MBps) edged past the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 (45MBps) but couldn’t keep pace with the Linksys Hydra Pro 6E (57MBps) or the Netgear RAXE500 (68MBps).
