About this deal

What can you you say about a Disney film ,they are normally great films ,this one is a great film to watch ,either on your own or with your family ,friends etc ,,but i was a bit disappointed there was not more extras on the Blu-ray disc ! When Mulan is wounded in battle however, the secret of her gender is discovered and she faces exposure and disgrace. Based on an ancient Chinese poem, the legend of MULAN beautifully unfolds in Disney's 36th animated classic!

They acquired new problems along the way, as there were issues about human rights abuses where they filmed in China; about a lack of ethnic diversity amongst the non-acting crew members; about a swapping around of the character to be Mulan’s love interest to ensure it didn’t fall foul of the MeToo Movement.Already late, she rushes through her morning chores (with help from her dog Little Brother Chris Sanders) before greeting her father, Fa Zhou Soon-Tek Oh, at the family temple with his morning medicine. For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered. Heartbroken, Shang takes his sword and sticks it into the snow, leaving his father's helmet resting on the hilt.

Mulan sympathizes with Shang and tells him that she thinks hes a great captain, to which Mushu accuses her of having feelings towards him. This is inevitable with any movie these days, but the film does hold to its original intent of looking and feeling properly Chinese. However, I found the live action "remake" very enjoyable, with some great performances and action scenes/special effects and will watch many times in the future.Mulan's adventures lead to a climactic battle atop the Imperial Palace, where her family's honor and the fate of the Emperor and all of China rest in their hands! Young girl Mulan (Ming-Na Wen/Lea Salonga) disguises herself as a boy and joins up in her aged father's place, accompanied by her protectors: guardian dragon Mushu (Eddie Murphy) and lucky cricket Cri-kee (Frank Welker).

She steals her father's armor and conscription and leaves behind her flower hair comb before riding out into the night. In rare cases, they may have very slight scratches on the packaging due to warehousing / storage and transport. com, the Sell on Etsy app, and the Etsy app, as well as the electricity that powers Etsy’s global offices and employees working remotely from home in the US. Disney was under the severest scrutiny whilst making the film, to ensure their casting stayed true to the story’s Chinese origins. Shang, stunned in awe, is grabbed by Mulan and the two of them are rescued by Khan, though Shang is knocked unconscious. My husband and I are enthusiastic but discerning viewers of Chinese ‘Wuxia’ films ~ meaning ‘martial heroes’.

Mulan's father, already a veteran, walks forward to accept his notice and scorns Mulan when she tries to stop him. Mushu, shocked that Mulan missed a target three feet in front of her, rides the cannon towards the peak where the cannon explodes, causing an avalanche that crushes Shan Yu's army and rushes down the hillside. Enraged, Shan Yu lashes out at Mulan with his sword who quickly runs away as the avalanche draws closer. Mulan shouts to Shan Yu that it was she who took his victory and pulls her hair back, revealing her identity as the soldier from the mountains. Mulan devises a plan to infiltrate the palace along with Shang, Chien-Po, Yao, and Ling, the latter three disguised as concubines.

At the top of the tower he is faced by their leader, Shan Yu Miguel Ferrer, who expresses delight when the soldier lights the signal, saying, "Now all of China knows youre here. He agrees, but when he meets Mulan, he learns that she cannot be dissuaded and so decides to help her in the perilous times ahead. The matchmaker, suspicious of Mulan's near perfect recital of wifely duties, grabs hold of Mulan's arm, leading her into the other room to pour tea, and rubs her face, subsequently smearing the wet ink from Mulan's arm all over it. And it also picks up on another major theme that we have noticed in Disney films in recent years ~ think ‘Tangled’(2010) and both the “Frozen’ films (2013 and 2019) ~ in that it is very much a film espousing female empowerment ~ in fact, Wuxia films often include female warriors and heroines, so this is fitting.
