About this deal

If you're looking for a kanji learning program that has a larger coverage of kanji, read The Best Kanji Learning Programs. I was floundering on block for forgetting what I have learnt before, it's frustating to re-learn again back to the beginning (this happened twice already. It would have been more beneficial if the historical background of the letter was discussed, but it might have resulted in a more complicated mnemonic. While Kanji Look and Learn itself doesn't offer any activities to review or practice what you've learnerd, there's an accompanying workbook for extra practice.

Even though I am finally done with this book, it will always be my first reference for reviewing and restudying the Japanese Kanji. Before actually introducing the kanji themselves, the book begines with an overview of kanji as well as how they teach kanji in their book. Illustrations are commonly used for kana learning, but not as common for kanji learning, which makes this textbook special. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system. However, you can come up with your own story, and that is particularly where the beauty of studying Kanji lies. KANJI LOOK AND LEARN ( 512 Kanji with Illustrations and Mnemonic Hints) is the companion book of the Genki series that focuses on the Kanji characters from the level N5 to N3 of the JLPT. I first intended to finish this book in 2 weeks (two lessons a day) because I have previous knowledge of most of the characters introduced, but later of course I realized that it was impossible. The book includes all 317 kanji in the "Genki" textbook -The companion workbook helps users to learn kanji not only at the level of characters and words, but also in the context of sentences and longer text. With lessons ranging from 160 kanji characters of the JLPT N5 level to 192 intermediate level characters for the JLPT N3, this workbook has something for everyone.

The book contains a chart which allows users to compare kanji learned in "Genki", "Minna no Nihongo", "Nakama", and "Yokoso".The book contains 512 kanji, as well as 3,500 essential vocabulary(using those kanj) for beginner and intermediate learners. So if you have the will power to continuously review the kanji, I'm sure that all the kanji could be easily memorized.
