Most of the listed subscriptions work better if you have your family or crew helping you out, but don’t let that stop you from taking on any case on your own. Length of Scenario: Typically 90 minutes to 2 hours, depends on the difficulty of the scenario and how liberally you use the hint system. Why you’ll want to solve this mystery: With six chapters to investigate, your group will be so invested from the first box, they’ll beg you to book the next department game night. A: A murder mystery box is similar to a board game. But instead of the typical board to maneuver around, the box contains items necessary to solve a well-crafted murder.Schedule a recurring murder mystery to go with the meetings already on the calendar. This subscription delivers a brand new and exciting case to keep your team engaged each month. The interactive platform and stand-alone mysteries supply hours of team building entertainment. Simple as it sounds, resolution is rewarding! Giving your group the opportunity to solve a murder as a team building activity… well, that’s just “Elementary, my dear Watson.” Cosykiller is like an Agatha Christie novel but with you playing Miss Marple! No conclusions are drawn; the puzzling and detection is up to you.

Imo the best of the bunch although I know some have mixed opinions on the series. The way the panorama and time systems work my group really enjoys and we've liked the stories in all the modules we've played. Prophecy of Dragons has been our favorite so far due to the depth of choices and amount of alternative paths you could take through that game. So far, every module has added a new and interesting set of twists on the game's mechanics that change the game in a radical way that we find very interesting. And the art and component quality are extremely good overall. The big complaint some groups have is the repeating loops (although this mechanic was removed in the second "season" of boxes). For my group this has never been an issue and we are generally able to fly through loops after the first without major issue. We've so far gotten all of them in 2 loops, and the optimization puzzle element of a second loop feels very rewarding to me, and makes remembering the little details feel important. The game does have a fair bit of potential for random time loss due to the required dice rolling, but this can usually be mitigated with character abilities and item use. This game also tends to have good puzzles, often having 1 or 2 "escape room" style puzzles (this is not in every scenario though). The item collection and trading puzzles work well but are pretty much the same as the other games in this genre. Each box is a standalone, but the first "white box" season of games requires the base set's components to play. This was ditched for true standalone boxes in the second "blue box" season. Did you know that most of our murder mystery games are replayable with different outcomes and murderers? Whether you opt for in-person or online play, simply start again with a new cast or ensure everyone swaps roles for an entirely new experience. Challenging Murder Mystery Games With so many themes to choose from, your dinner parties will never be the same again. Decade Specific GamesThe contents of each mystery vary, but past boxes have included items such as crime scene evidence, suspect profiles, evidence photos, maps and floor plans, suspect interviews, an FBI investigation file, medical examiner’s report, newspaper articles, mysterious notes and letters, a key chain with a hidden message, text message transcripts, DNA evidence, witness statements, a letter from a killer containing a hidden puzzle, surveillance evidence, a business card with a phone number to call, fingerprint evidence, homicide reports, and much, much more.
