About this deal

The warm and welcoming self catering holiday cottage is an ideal base for a long or short break to explore the many visitor attractions of Sherwood Forest and the Ducal Estates. Take the A49 south towards Whitchurch. After about 3 miles, take the A533 right at a traffic light controlled cross-roads (garage on the corner). Lodge Lane is a left turn after about 1 mile. Outside your door is picturesque Old Ollerton in Sherwood Forest with a working watermill, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. Fishing: if you intend to fish during your stay you do have to cross a stile to get to the fishing pegs. Disabled visitors are welcome to fish from the jetty.

Sleeping 6 in comfort with 3 double bedrooms or 2 double bedrooms and a twin, two living rooms, fully equipped kitchen and all rooms with digital T.V.’s.The jetty is just over 100 metres from the cottage, so you could hire a canoe or bring your own and paddle along the river, discovering its narrow channels and scattered islands. Make the most of your unique location close to ancient woodlands and an abundance of wildlife, as well as miles of walking and cycling trails and the ruins of a 17th-century castle. Take the A56 south towards Frodsham. Take the first left along Windmill Lane, or the second left along the A533 towards Northwich. Windmill Lane joins the A533 after about 1.5 miles. Lodge Lane is a right turn off the A533 and the nursery is signposted 200 yds beforehand. Hello - our electricity supply will be off on Wednesday 3rd May. We have a generator ready but it may be quite noisy and we don't know yet if we can run our tea urn! So if you are able to reschedule and come along on another day, please do. Parking: Parking is available in the courtyard behind the cottages. Please do not park at the front as access is needed to the jetty area regularly.
