About this deal

The exception being the naughty or nice cards, the nice cards are very very nice while the naughty ones… well, have you ever tried to mime a double blowjob? The costs for delivery, installation services and monthly insurance products cannot be placed on BNPL. Gutterhead has this problem solved, and within 90 seconds! Sounds perfect. Even more perfect, it’s a ‘love child of Pictionary and Cards Against Humanity’, you can only imagine how out of hand this not-so-innocent board game gets.

The result of said night was Gutterhead, a party game described as the naughty love child of Cards Against Humanity and Pictionary. Teams compete head-to-head, with players drawing the filthy word on their card while their teammates try to guess; there’s even a set of drinking game rules for those looking for a boozier game night. Gutterhead is described as the naughty love child of Pictionary and Cards Against Humanity. Suitable for 4-16 players (we found that the more players you have, the better it is) aged 17 years +. Each game should take around 30-60 minutes (although there are no time limits and it and time flies by as it is so much fun). Ever been at a party, and there’s that one person who doesn’t understand the rules to the drinking game you all want to play? Then you have to explain over and over again, by which time you’re stone cold sober. Yeah, us too. So annoying. Our launch party in August 2017, when we had 60 people all playing Gutterhead and the laughter in the room was deafening. During your little poo’s journey across the board, there are coloured spaces you’ll land on and each one corresponds to one of the card piles. Your job is to draw (or mime, you can mime the pink ones if you like, though I’m still not sure if that’s better or worse) what’s on the card.

From as little as £5 per month, plus up to 10% off monthly premiums for life

We caught up with Zak Walton to find out more about his journey with Gutterhead to date, and what to expect from Gutterhead Games’ upcoming title, Trunk of Drunk. You’ll also be glad to know there are optional drinking rules included, although maybe avoid them if you go for the marathon game option.

What was the moment that you knew it had commercial potential rather than just being an idea for something to play with mates and family? If you’re looking for a new family-friendly board game to introduce at games night then this probably isn’t the game for you, unless you’re all over 18 and really (weirdly) comfortable with each other. If you’ve never played before I suggest you just unwrap and shuffle the cards and let them surprise you as you go, but if you just can’t wait then have a read through and you’ll soon understand why you don’t want to play this game with your gran in the room, or your parents, or your children, or anybody you’ve ever loved, really. Gutterhead, designed by Kate Jenkins and Zak Walton, is a game for four or more players in which you split into teams and take turns drawing various rude words or phrases, while all racing to the finish line on the game board to be crowned the official Gutterhead! The phrase “get your head out of the gutter” comes to mind with this game and it certainly leads players to do such a thing. A game such as this is only really enjoyable if people commit to it, something my old university friends certainly did when trying this game out! The nights are getting darker earlier and certainly a lot colder. Why go out when you can stay inside in the warm and chill out? We are now entering the season to be jolly and what better way to be jolly than spending time with friends and having a good laugh! So how do you entertain yourself and your friends at home? With a board game of course! And not just any board game, if you have a sense of humour and like it a bit more risqué or just out and out filthy then you have to try Gutterhead – The Fiendishly Filthy Drawing Game. Gutterhead is a fun and adult only game that really will put your mind firmly into the gutter! But you will be glad you stayed in to play it! b) It keeps everyone engaged and involved all the time. Unlike Pictionary, Gutterhead is an all-play whereby all teams draw head-to-head. This keeps engagement up and adds to the competitive element.

The box contains: 240 fiendishly filthy playing cards (5 categories; Person/Place, Object, Action, Feeling/Sensation and Naughty or Nice), 4 poo shaped playing pieces in different colours, Dice, Gameboard, 4 double-sided whiteboards, 4 dry wipe pens and instructions.

a) It’s simple to learn – we knew we needed to appeal to non-gamers and gamers alike so we designed the rules to be learnt in 90 seconds. Gutterhead is fairly simple. Players will be in teams and each team will have a playing piece to put on the board. The playing pieces are rather aptly shaped like a poo, showing new players exactly how bad this game can get (in a good way!). Each turn, one team will roll the dice and move their poo-piece forward that many spaces. The spaces are all coloured and signify different categories, these being Actions, Objects, Feeling, Person/Place and Naughty/Nice. Landing our first major distribution deal with VR in Australia. For me, this really cemented the commercial potential of Gutterhead.
