About this deal

Lian Li O11 Air Mini supports a motherboard up to E-ATX, however it is much more interesting when you work with a smaller Micro-ATX as that allows you to open up the top of the case for cooling hardware. The O11 Dynamic series from LIAN LI is developed in collaboration with DER8AUER, a world-renowned German overclocking, water cooling, and gaming evangelist. However, the intelligent design of the O11 Mini Air means there is ample space for enthusiast-grade hardware.

Alternatively, the white chassis opts for a smooth powder coated finish with silver screws, white mesh and light grey rubber grommets. Understanding the differences is easiest when the specs are laid out side by side, which we’ve done in the table below.Even though the Lian Li O11 Air Mini is quite compact, it features full seven-slot ATX compatibility. In all fairness, that’s fine – the Micro-ATX layout with five expansion slots will work just the same, leaving the lower slots unused to make radiator space. A case that would accommodate the maximum number of water-cooling configurations without being oversized.

The spacious interior and clever modular system provide space for both air and AIO cooling setups in several different configurations. Experienced PC builders should see the amount of potential that this case has, but it will require effort on your part to exploit it fully. Despite these changes, the case has kept its cost reasonable, while its size remains relatively compact for an ATX case. I'm planning on transitioning all components and will decide on either going cheap with Arctic P14/P12 fans, or drop some cash on RGB.

Looking on the inside you can tell this as an evolution of the O11 series, we still have a lot of the similarities to the original, like the dual chamber design. Just make sure you handle those panels like they are made out of precious porcelain, or you will regret it. They’re based on the same base principles, but externally and internally they are surprisingly different.

It is not very tall, but it is wider than your standard mid-tower, and it can still accommodate all your crazy enthusiast hardware. Other than that, you will rely on the mesh of the top, front and side panels for filtration, though I expect these will do a good enough job as the mesh there is quite fine. The case’s interior becomes accessible once the top and right-side panels are removed, followed by the glass side and front mesh panels, revealing a truly neat interior that simply makes the installation process a breeze. The entire chassis is finished in matching white with silver screws, white mesh and dust filters plus light grey rubber grommets. This allows you to go for a full-size power supply and put the savings over the more compact form factor towards other things in your build. The case only has one filter, at the bottom, and it keeps the same, not-so-pretty plastic handle as the O11D Mini. Tom's Hardware is part of Future US Inc, an international media group and leading digital publisher. You do have two colour choices, but I will say that the white finish on this enclosure doesn’t feel premium, it just feels like steel.
