Bonhams is a privately-owned international auction house, founded in 1793 - with over 400 sales a year in 60 different categories of collecting we have something for everyone. Taking part in our auctions is now easier than ever with the Bonhams app. We champion wearable art and works by 'artist jewellers' - from Andrew Grima, John Donald and David Thomas in the UK to Art Smith, Betty Cook and William Spratling in the US. In 2006, we curated the first auction dedicated to works by Grima, followed by a 100% sold private collection of Grima jewellery in 2017 and a successful sale of artist jewellery from the Crawford Collection in 2021.

In 2013, Bonhams opened its new headquarters at 101 New Bond Street, a state-of-the-art building, designed by Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands; and in 2015 it completed a seven-figure refurbishment of its Knightsbridge saleroom. In 2016, Bonhams held its first online-only auction. The sale – Watches and Wristwatches from the Collection of a European Nobleman – was 100 per cent sold. [ citation needed]
