About this deal

http://www.mercupgrades.com/comand+++all+about+the+different+mercedes+comand+systems-article-54.html This is ideal for a gaming or livestreming setupwhere you don't want yourmicrophone to be in frame, or a filmed podcasting scenario where you and your guests are sitting on a couch or around a table and you want to reduce clutter in the shot. Just to give you an impression, we take the Sennheiser MKH-8060 as a comparison, which costs more than twice the price.

Here are the audio clips, you can hear the difference and judge which is better for your ear. For me, the MKH-8060 has a little less coloration off-axis, but the NTG5 seems to have a little better rear sound rejection. They both sound very good, and very similar when the sound source is in front. Sound is a very subjective judgment, and everyone has their definition of “natural-sounding” or “warm sounding” microphone. But there’s also a kind of “industry standard” for sound, which is what you hear every day from TV and in the cinema. Therefore, you will mostly see Sennheiser, Schoeps, DPA or RØDE microphones chosen by audio professionals and filmmakers, for two reasons: first, people in audio postproduction are much more familiar with the sound of these microphones and know much better how to deal with them. Second, the ear of the audience is much more trained for the sound from these microphones. The upgrade supports several car models featuring NTG5.0 and NTG5.2 infotainment, including the 2014-2018 C-Class W205 and the 2014-2018 A-Class. You can find the full list of compatible car models at the end of the article. RF-bias technology and conformal coating ensure the NTG5 is reliable in adverse environments. It is designed to be taken everywhere, with excellent resistance to wet conditions, high humidity, severe cold and dust. All Accessories IncludedBut its a bit more complicated than that. If you have a Command online NTG5.1 head unit (*see next paragraph), its most likely a case of software updates and coding. The microphone is made from aluminium, which means it can still have some RF interferences in extreme situations. Because of the very light-weight short body design, the microphone is more sensitive to handling noise, which could be a problem in some situations. Plastic pistol grip The first NTG5.x unit come to the W222 S-Class and was known internally as the NTG5.2. Next, i quote here; “A more traditional system with full keyboard was then released and this is called NTG5*1. It was installed in the MY2015 E class and CLS class, and followed in the A, B, CLA, GLA and with the GLE/GLS when they were facelifted (and renamed from ML/GL). It has a SD-CARD slot in the front and seperate USB ports in the armrest glovebox”.

NTG5.5 was then introduced for the W213/W238 E Class and the CLS adding Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Support. At launch only COMAND was NTG5.5 and Audio-20 was NTG5*2, Audio-20 was updated to NTG5.5 around the Model Year 2018 release - The NTG5.5 Audio-20 supports both the standard Audio-20 LCD and the larger LCD previously used for COMAND, and of course Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Note that NTG5.5 does not have an inbuilt CD/DVD player but there is an optional external CD/DVD that is in the main glovebox and can be retrofitted. NTG5.5 seems to be made only by Mitsubishi Electric(Melco). NTG5.5 systems have the DAB tuner built in and use the FM/AM antenna connection for DAB aswell. From paper, the RØDE NTG5 and Sennheiser MKH-8060 have both 25Ohm output impedance as they both are RF Condenser Microphones. The Maximum Sound Pressure Levelofthe RØDE NTG5 is 130dB SPL, which is 1 dB more than the Sennheiser MKH-8060, and the Noise Floorofthe RØDE NTG5 is 10dB SPL (A-Weighted), which is 1 dB less than the Sennheiser MKH-8060. This means, theRØDE NTG5 can handle 1 dB louder, and has 1dB less noise. Even from psychoacoustic, the human ear can not hear the 1dB difference, but this tiny difference may make theRØDE NTG5 even work better in some extreme situations. Rode has not stated that the NTG5 replaces the NTG3 in their shotgun microphone lineup. It seems to be in addition to the NTG3. Given that it’s an arguably (if subjectively) “better” microphone than the NTG3, then it makes me wonder if we might see a redesigned NTG3 replacement coming at some point soon, too. Or perhaps an update to 2012’s Rode NTG8. ProsWe are superexcited to introduce the NTG5, a brand-new addition to our best-selling range of shotgun microphones. The NTG5 sets a new standard for the range.Witha groundbreaking acoustic port design, ultra-lightweight construction, and crystal clear, broadcast-grade sound, the NTG5 is a revolution in shotgun microphone design – the perfect location recording mic.

The NTG5 is a short, ultra-lightweight shotgun microphone ideal for use in the most demanding recording applications. Featuring a revolutionary acoustic design with circular ports replacing the linear slots found in other shotgun mics, it offers unmatched transparency and a more natural, uncoloured sound. Combined with a tightly controlled frequency response, smooth off-axis response, and very low self-noise (just 10dBA), the NTG5 sounds spectacular in a wide variety of applications, particularly location recording and demanding filmmaking scenarios where superlative audio is the imperative. No excuses.Technologie de polarisation RF et vernis de tropicalisation, pour garantir une parfaite performance dans des conditions difficiles Ive seen various units out there, honestly, some look really good! A couple actually have software that makes it look factory, see below! With these units i believe they need a USB car play adaptor then you need to install the software onto the Android operating system on it etc.
