Onna Mamire no The Suiei Taikai• Vol.68: The Tousou Highway: ~Nagoya-Tokyo~• Vol.74: The Oujisama to Romance: Ripple no Tamago When it comes to the Rollercoaster Tycoon titles, the absolute pinnacle is this third game – which has, in our humble opinion, never been bettered either by other games in the series or other theme park games. In a series first, players could actually hop onto the rides themselves – and it was even possible to import coasters designed in the first two games, to be built and tried out in the new game!

Vol.03: Kamen Rider: The Bike Race• Vol.04: Jarinko Chie: The Hanafuda• Vol.06: Dokonjou Gaeru: The Mahjong• Vol.11: Meitantei Conan: The Board Game• Vol.12: The Battle: Kidou Butouden G Gundam• Vol.13: The Battle: Shin Kidou Senki Gundam W This is one of very few roller coaster/amusement park games, and the roller coaster designer screen was pretty interesting, featuring the 4 window system people who have used 3D modeling programs are familiar with. Designing an roller coaster isn't very hard, and when you do test runs you get statistics presented in a pretty funny way popping up, like "10 people are feeling ill, 1 is missing" and the amount of G forces the people in the ride are experiencing. Moving away from the fixed isometric view of the previous two games, Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 feels full of life and is filled with character. Though it has a lot more personality than Rollercoaster Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon 2, importantly it does retain a great level of strategic depth. It's too easy to earn money in the game, unless you spend your money on placing a lot of useless skyscrapers it's almost impossible to lose the game. And it did this in a cute, accessible and incredibly fun manner. Not just responsible for owning and creating a Theme Park, your manager could take care of small but brilliant details such as how salty to make the fries – and also, making sure that food stands weren’t too close to the most intense rides; if they were, players needed to be prepared for a vomit-covered park! It’s probably not surprising that Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is yet another title that was developed by Frontier Developments (with series creator Chris Sawyer involved as a consultant). Using a script or add-on that scans GameFAQs for box and screen images (such as an emulator front-end), while overloading our search engine Vol.76: The Hanasou Eigo no Tabi• Vol.77: The Hanasou Kankokugo no Tabi• Vol.81: The Chikyuu Bouei Gun 2• Vol.88: The Mini Bijo Keikan• Vol.89: The Party Game 2• Vol.92: The Noroi no Game

Except for the amusement park, the choices in the main menu consists of "riding" roller coasters that were included in the game (which you can not use in your park by the way, nor would you want to, since the designers obviously didn't think of letting anyone survive the ride - the statistics show lots of people falling of during those pre-designed rides), which might be fun for about 1 minute - but then you start to wonder - was this the whole game? In about 15 minutes you have done everything that you can do in the game, and it becomes really, really boring. The Japanese loading screen consists of a few standard warnings about eye strain, seizures, and the importance of taking regular breaks, along with a disclaimer that real-world rollercoasters may not behave in exactly the same way as the ones in the game. Currently one of the most popular theme park games on the market, Planet Coaster is yet another title from the theme park video game experts, Frontier Developments. Well, there isn't anything more to do in the game, you can build and research some other stuff, but none of it is interesting, and is presented with horrible graphics. The graphics looks like they are from a cheap and early Playstation 1 game, amusement park visitors are displayed as ugly, low res static sprites, you don't see any people walking around in your park, they are just standing there. While the roller coaster design was pretty easy and featured a pretty good tutorial nothing else in the game is described - you have no idea of what use you have for a building, and there are some strange things you can build - why, for example, would you like to build a couple of office skyscrapers in the middle of your amusement park? What do they do? Challenge and Career modes are the closest approximation to playing a classic theme park management game, but the Sandbox – which gives players an empty plot of land and unlimited funds – is where some of the most impressive creations can be constructed. From a file in the Japanese version of the game, called JD3.ELF. While there are folders on the disc labeled "JD1" and "JD2", there isn't a folder for "JD3" in both regions. The ELF file was removed when the game was localized for Europe, but why this file was on the disc in the first place is a mystery. Vol.79: The Shisenshou• Vol.81: The Renai Adventure: Okaeri!• Vol.82: The Sensuikan• Vol.86: The Onigokko• Vol.87: The Kyoutei• Vol.89: The Power Shovel: Power Shovel ni Norou!• Vol.90: The Sensha• Vol.93: The Puzzle Bobble: Puzzle Bobble 4• Vol.95: The Hikouki• Vol.99: The Kendou: ~Ken no Hanamichi~• Vol.101: The Sentou We all love having fun, right? Spending a lovely warm day eating junk food and being thrown around on elaborate rides, designed to thrill and sometimes terrify you, is one of the great pastimes available to us in the modern world. So it’s no wonder that it’s also a popular subject for video games too! What’s special about video game theme parks? Vol.26: The Pinball x3• Vol.31: The Chikyuu Bouei Gun• Vol.33: The Jet Coaster: Yuuenchi wo Tsukurou!• Vol.36: The Musume♥Ikusei Simulation: Otousan to Issho• Vol.44: The Hajimete no RPG: ~Densetsu no Keishousha~• Vol.50: The Daibijin This is a game you should stay away from at all costs, while it has a good roller coaster design program it does not containing anything else whatsoever. The time it takes to do everything you can do in this game can be counted in minutes - that's right, there's not even an hours worth of gameplay here. This is the kind of game you could expect to get as a freebie in your Corn Flakes box, but it is absolutely NOT worth the 5-10 euro they want for the game in the stores. The game feels like it was part of a bigger game intended to be released on the first Playstation console, but the Playstation 2 came out before they were done with it, and they decided to release it in it's early stage for the PS2 after some minor graphics adjustments without actually finishing any other parts than the 3D roller coaster designer.

Themed areas of the park, a day and night cycle which changed the demographics of the park’s customers (known as ‘Peeps’) and expansions that allowed the creation of water-based and zoo attractions brought even more appeal to Rollercoaster Tycoon 3’s flexible, fun and still rewardingly deep strategic simulation. Vol.102: The Hohei: ~Senjou no Inu Tachi~• Vol.103: The Chikyuu Bouei Gun Tactics• Vol.104: The Robot Tsuku Rouze! Gekitou! Robot Fight• Vol.105: The Maid Fuku to Kikanjuu• Vol.111: The Itadaki Rider• Vol.113: The Tairyou Jigoku• Vol.117: The Reisen• Vol.120: The Saigo no Nihonhei: ~Utsukushiki Kokudo Dakkan Sakusen~ Responsible for nearly half of the titles on the best theme park games list, Frontier Developments have proven themselves absolute masters of the genre, having also created other theme park games that sit just outside this top ten. What makes theme parks so enjoyable?
