All in all you should expect to spend around 30 to 60 minutes assembling the R200, which is minimal compared to some rowing machines.This is a great machine for novice rowers who are looking to begin rowing but who are understandably reluctant to hand over cash for a premium machine like the Concept2.

It is worth pointing out that the seat has to travel at least 75cm along the rail for the stroke to count on the display so users with particularly short legs or arms might run in to issues with tracking their progress if they don’t utilise at least that much of the space on the rail. Because the main rail is bolted to the flywheel section, there's nary a wobble or shake to be found. The R200 rowing machine is one of the most lightweight rowers on the market and is also pretty compact without becoming unusable for anyone over 6ft. I recommend getting a rowing machine mat to protect your floor and reduce any movement if you are concerned.

As with any kind of exercise, it isn't advisable to go all-out every single day or you could risk injury and exhaustion. This may be little more than a starting point where users can get to grips with the resistance levels, data and general workout, but it has just enough to keep most beginner-level users happy.
