The LWB (Little White Book) that accompanies this deck gives a short introduction, then presents each card, text only. There is a sense of gentleness and "otherworldliness" that draws one in, and makes one feel right at home. In readings I have found that the characters' faces and eyes do not communicate nearly so much as do the gestalt of colors, symbols and flow of details in each card image.The Crystal Visions Tarot is seriously lacking in this department, with the exception of The Devil, which features a nude woman eating an apple. Cups -- all scenes take place in same locale and include water lilies, dragonflies, the moon in its different phases, pinks and reddish purples. the little white book is quite thin, and they arrange the suits according to their numbers, which is quite interesting as well.

The best bonus is the cards are wonderful wallpapers that have prompted many friends to ask where I got them.The characters primarily consist of broad-shouldered, well-proportioned men and beautiful, slender women with long, flowing hair. They are really good quality and they have not shown any signs of wear after using quite a few times. Jennifer Galasso is a fantasy artist and illustrator who was raised and currently resides in New England. It is a 79 card deck, based on the traditional tarot imagery and symbolism of the Rider-Waite Smith deck.
